Xenophilius revealed that Death Eaters had captured his daughter Luna, in order to force him to cease his public political dissension of them. He alerted the Voldemort-controlled Ministry that Harry was in his home in the hopes that they would return Luna in exchange for Harry himself.
It transpired that Luna had been taken hostage by the Death Eaters, setting up Xenophilius as a potential informant while punishing him for his pro-Potter stance. Xenophilius was clearly terrified, which brought him to make an awful decision – trade Harry for Luna's life.
Later, Luna was captured on the Hogwarts Express by Death Eaters because her father wrote the truth about Harry in The Quibbler. Harry assists Luna out of Malfoy Manor, where she had been taken hostage, and she comforted Mr.
Luna indulged her love of rare (and possibly imaginary) magical creatures by becoming a magizoologist (magical naturalist). It's fitting, then, that she married Rolf Scamander, grandson of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them author Newt Scamander. They have twin sons, Lorcan and Lysander.

Who did Luna marry in the end?
Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbottom were fan-favorite characters in Harry Potter, but they ended up with different partners in the books. Luna marries Rolf Scamander, who is the grandson of Newt Scamander, while Neville marries Hannah Abbott, who is a fellow Hogwarts student.

Luna Lovegood is a Pureblood witch, who was sorted into Gryffindor House during Harry Potter's second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry.
She survived the war and eventually married a muggle Mr. Campbell and had a daughter named Erin. Even though Cho seemed very innocent and kind, she still couldn't get over the fact that Cedric Diggory was dead and Harry Potter, her new crush, had been right beside Cedric when he died.
Ginny is introduced in the first book Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, as the youngest sibling and only daughter of Arthur and Molly Weasley.
