One day Thor discovered that his hammer was missing, and Loki found that the Giant Thrym had stolen it. Thrym wanted to marry Freya in return for the hammer, but the goddess Freya loathed the idea. So it was decided that Thor would go to Thrym's hall disguised as Freya.
In the end, Thor had to disguise himself as Freyja and pretend to agree to marry Thrym. When the hammer was brought out to officiate the marriage, Thor stole it back and killed everyone in the giant's hall.
The gods dress Thor as a bride, and Loki states that he will go with Thor as his maid, and that the two shall drive to Jötunheimr together. After riding together in Thor's goat-driven chariot, the two, disguised, arrive in Jötunheimr.
Freyja is not related to Thor, except as adopted family. At the start, there were two groups of gods: The Aesir and the Vanir. These two group got into a war with each other, which lasted for a while until they got both sick of fighting and made a truce.
Freya was not impressed, and refused to marry Thrym, and suggested to Thor that he better start digging if he wanted his hammer back. Finally, Heimdall stated that the best way to deal with this situation was for Thor to don a dress and veil and trick the giant into thinking he was Freya.
Why does Thor not want to dress up as Freyja to retrieve his hammer?
No one wanted Freyja to go, so they came up with a plan to fool the giant. They decided to dress up Thor in a wedding dress so that he looked like Freyja. At first, Thor was very upset by this idea. He didn't want to wear a dress, and he was worried that the other gods would make fun of him.
Freyja is a goddess of fertility. She is the daughter of Njord and has a twin brother Freyr. When Freyja goes anywhere, she travels in a chariot pulled by cats. Freyja, with her staff, knows the art of predicting the future – prophecy – and she teaches Odin this magical art.
Freyja was the daughter of Njörðr, and was Odin's concubine. Odin deeply loved Freyja, and she was "the fairest of woman of that day". Freyja had a beautiful bower, and when the door was shut no one could enter without Freyja's permission.
While she and Odin were acknowledged by Mimir to be genuinely in love, Freya eventually chose to leave Odin due to his unjust ways. Because Freya broke the marriage off from Odin, she therefore incurred the Allfather's wrath and spite.

She chooses the dead warriors fallen in combat, she lives in Fólkvangr and she travels the world on a boar or cart drawn by cats. She is so beautiful that gods, giants and dwarves want her. She is the queen of Valkyries. She wears a falcon coat and travels in the worlds like that.
Since Brok only has 3/4ths of his soul, it also makes healing impossible which is why Freya was unable to heal him when Odin disguised as Týr stabbed him. She can't revive him like how she did with Mimir either.
Dominic explains that he knows she is important to Freya, but nine of his groupies have probably already killed her. Freya becomes so angry that she uses all of her power on Dominic, which knocks him out of the protective stick boundaries. Dominic takes his chance and kills Freya. HE KILLS HER.

Sif is the wife of Thor and the daughter of Odin and Freya(Frigga.). Freya is Thor's mother and Odin's wife. Let it be stated for the record. And yes some emanations of Sif are Thor's wives and some emanations of her are his sisters.
