Darth Vader awakens, and his first question is about the whereabouts of Padmé. Palpatine tells Darth Vader that in his anger he killed her, placing the blame for Padmé's death on Vader. Vader denies it, saying he sensed Padmé was still alive, which the audience knows she was as Obi-Wan escaped on the ship with her.
Why did Vader stick with Palpatine after Padme died?
He still believed Palpatine was telling the truth when he said he would help save Padme. So, from Vader's distorted point of view, Palpatine had done nothing wrong and was the only person left by his side. And rather than lose everyone in his life, he figured he might as well commit to his life as a Sith.
But outside that, he's never shown any ability to prevent the death of another. It's clear that his goal of saving Padmé was a complete lie to turn Anakin, and that Plagueis' methods of saving lives was long gone.
tragically, he was not able to resurrect Padme. because she refused to go with him. due to his inability to let go, telling him she didn't know him anymore, jumping away from him to her death.
Anakin does not have even the slightest bit of remorse. By the end, he feels nothing but anger. Although he feels regret for killing Padme, he still helps the evil Emperor. The film ends with Anakins standing side by side with the man on whose behalf he has committed all his crimes.

However, by the end of the issue, it's strongly implied that the true source of Darth Vader's hatred was Palpatine, and he used that hatred to crush this Scourge-host with the clenching of his fist.
Before Padmé's death, she still believed there was still good left in Anakin, and that one day he could be redeemed. During Anakin's time as the Emperor's enforcer, he continued to suffer from grief over Padmé's death, and guilt over his supposed hand in it.
If there's one thing about Anakin that stayed the same even after he became Vader, it's his desire to feel close to someone. Obi Wan left him for dead, Padme was dead, Shimi was dead, Ahsoka was dead as far he knew, so there was no one else around that would accept Vader.
Vader is too grief-stricken about his mother to EVER step foot on Tatooine, even though the plans for the Death Star are there. Vader is too grief-stricken to EVER go to Naboo to go to his wife's grave. Typho is far, far too grief-stricken to go to Padme's funeral.
Instead of being in the life suit, Vader looks like an older Anakin who never received the devastating injuries, and Padmé and Luke (who struck down Palpatine) are by his side. It's during these visions Palpatine realizes Luke - who he only knew as the Rebel who destroyed the Death Star - is Anakin's son.
The whole reason for him turning to the dark side was to save Padme. So why didn't Vader almost immediately turn on Palpatine or just rejoin the light side after her death and the apparent death of his children? He had nothing to lose at this point and no reason to stay with the dark side.
Being the low-wisdom guy that he was, he acted on his hatred immediately as Palapine encouraged him to do. He couldn't force-choke Obi-Wan (the one he really wanted to do it to), so he did it to Padme (the one he could do it to). Anakin believed Padme brought Obi Wan to kill him, and reacted instinctively.

When the Jedi Council suspected the InterGalactic Banking Clan of having direct ties to the Separatists, they recruited Padme to investigate her colleague and former lover, Senator Rush Clovis of Scipio.
If Anakin had never fell in love with Padmé, he would've never turned to the Dark Side because it was his fear for losing Padmé and his two unborn children which caused him to be easily seduced by the Dark Side of the Force. It was his fear which made it much easier for Palpatine to manipulate Anakin.
It's clear that Darth Vader wishes that Padmé joined him so that they could have remained together. But there are moments in Marvel's other Darth Vader series that suggest that, while the Sith Lord is very much still obsessed with the idea of Padmé, her betrayal may have caused him to think ill of his late wife.
Thus, he never had any romantic relationships again after Padme's death. Even if he wanted to, I highly doubt he could have after all the injuries he sustained on Mustafar, anyway. If this were real life, he would have died on Mustafar after Obi-Wan chopped off his limbs and left him to burn alive.
While Vader had his weaknesses, including vulnerability to electricity, characters like Emperor Palpatine, Mace Windu, Yoda, and Obi-Wan Kenobi all had the potential to defeat him in battle.
Although the decision to turn to the Dark Side was Anakin's alone, the choice did not come from thin air. His natural prone to impulsivity and emotion without the support systems he needed in place made it easier for Anakin to stumble down a path of darkness.
