Over 20,000 years old, Hometree is the spiritual and physical home of the Tipani clan of the Na'vi. It is where they sleep and eat, learn and labor. The tree itself is over 150 meters tall and its diameter is many times that of a giant sequoia.
Some Na'vi clans, including the Omatikaya clan and Aranahe clan, live in tremendously large ancient trees they call Kelutral, or "Hometree". Others, like the Kame'tire, live in large, centralized villages and smaller encampments spread out over a large territory.

Paz Socorro is Spider's mom after a romantic relationship with Quaritch led to her getting pregnant. She gave birth to Spider, whose birth name is Miles (just like his father), in 2154. However, Paz Socorro died shortly after that in combat during Avatar's finale.
Augustine's colleague Norm Spellman (Joel David Moore) was the father and Grace conceived Kiri before the end of Avatar before somehow giving birth in her Avatar body. However, the more interesting theory is that Kiri is literally the child of Eywa due to some sort of immaculate conception.

In Cameron's script she's introduced with the descriptor "in human age she would be 18," but that raises as many questions as it answers. As with the math that leads to Jake being 28, Neytiri's birth in the Earth calendar year 2136 and the film's setting in 2154 add up to make her 18, but that's by Earth standards.
In the construction of the Na'vi species, there are undeniable influences from Black and Indigenous cultures. Both films show Na'vi characters depicted wearing dreadlocks and braids, hairstyles with historical connections to Black and African cultures.
Although the Na'vi possess a neural whip like most other creatures, it is most often hidden under a layer of hair that is painstakingly braided around the queue to protect it. This braid starts at birth and is maintained throughout a Na'vi's life.

But it turns out the 'hair sex' scene was never part of the theatrical cut at all, it was actually in the Avatar extended version that was released in 2010. The extended version is also included on home video, DVD and Blu-ray.
Jake Sully, ex-Marine, is recruited into the RDA's Avatar program after his scientist twin-brother, Tommy, is killed. Since Jake and Tommy share identical DNA make-up, Jake is able to step into his deceased brother's role as an Avatar driver.
