Ava Paige finds out about Teresa's discovery. Later, after Paige has died, Janson and Teresa create the Cure, which Teresa eventually gives to Thomas for him to use.
Straying away from the novel that doesn't offer a cure in the end, Teresa comes up with an antidote in the movie. Observing a sample of Thomas' blood under the microscope, Teresa is able to confirm that it can destroy the Flare Virus.
The ending reveals that Thomas escapes with a vial of the cure for the Flare virus, but it becomes symbolic rather than crucial, as many survivors are already immune and no one is capable of harvesting the cure.
It is eventually revealed that Thomas' blood contains a unique enzyme that can destroy the Flare virus [2]. In "The Death Cure" film, Teresa, one of the main characters, uses a small fragment of Thomas' blood and observes under a microscope that it snaps a dark-red vein with the virus in it, effectively killing it [2].
Paige came to realize that they would never be able to find a cure for the Flare and that WICKED's efforts were futile. She realized that the only hope of preventing humanity's extinction was for Immunes to start their society, away from the rest of the world.
The disease eats away the minds of the afflicted until they turn into Cranks, zombie-like creatures that roam cities killing people until they're killed themselves. Fortunately for Thomas, he and most of his friends are Munies — immune to the Flare. That's why they've been put through the Maze and the Scorch trials.
Characters. Thomas (books 1–3, 5, minor appearance in book 4) is one of the creators of the Maze along with Teresa Agnes, and later a Group A Glader in books 1–3. He is the main protagonist of the series, named after Thomas Edison. Thomas's name was Stephen before WICKED took him from his mother.

Too long, with 2h21 min running time, "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" entertains the viewer that enjoys action CGI films and does not think along the story. In this regard, the film is watchable. But if the viewer thinks about most of the scenes, he or she will certainly see the stupidities and clichés of the story.
Disease Immunity: Teresa Agnes was shown to be immune to the deadly Flare virus and its effects. In Death Cure, when Ava Paige announced that the virus was airborne in the city dozens of the people wore mouth masks to be unable to breathe it, except for Teresa due to her immune gene keeping her unaffected.
Thomas agreed to the mission, but later became disillusioned with WCKD after witnessing the suffering of his friends in the glade. He resolved to rescue them from the maze, which led to his proposal of being sent into the glade as part of a plan to gather information and eventually rescue his friends [2].
Throughout the novel, even in the face of life-or-death challenges, Thomas exhibits intelligence, strong problem-solving skills, and a desire to fight for his own survival and that of those around him. Through his actions, Thomas proves himself to be trustworthy, reliable, and resourceful.
He first gets angry with Thomas and then finally tells him that he is infected. In the book, Newt gives Thomas a note and tells him to read it “when the time is right.” In the film, it isn't until Newt dies when he gives Thomas a pendant that he later realises has a note hidden inside of it.
Gally got through the same way the other Gladers got through. Gally used the small mechanical device that was found in the dead Griever body. We know this because when Gally appears at the end he is holding it.
Newt really did die in the Maze Runner Series. He died in the third book, The Death cure. There are five books in the series. The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trial, and The Death Cure being the main three.
If Newt drew blood by biting Thomas, he may have been healed by his blood (assuming we're talking about the movies). However, he would have had to draw an extreme amount of blood to be saved, and gotten it into his (Newt's) blood stream. Thomas would not be affected, most likely.
Summary. Disney confirms Maze Runner 4 is in development, expanding the successful YA franchise with potential new storylines. Possible storylines for Maze Runner 4 include prequels or sequels, offering different directions and connections to the original trilogy.
The emotional intensity is definitely doubled up in the movie, establishing Teresa as a Thomas' one true love interest. Unlike Dashner's original story, the possibility of him dating Brenda is eliminated, and the audiences also get enough time to process the death of a character introduced right from the first movie.
The books center on Thomas, a 16-year-old boy with no memory of life before the Maze, the friends he makes in the Glade, and their struggles to survive a series of deadly tests and overthrow the corporation running them.
