Do you have to wear 3D glasses for a 4DX film screening? The 4DX experience takes place in a special auditorium at the Kinepolis cinema: thanks to its hinged seats and adapted environment, it plunges the viewers into the universe of the film. However, if the film is not presented in 3D, you don't need to wear glasses.
The motion seats of the 4DX system are programmed to move according to a predetermined sequence during movie screening. As a result, motion seats can cause the following problems: your personal effects (e.g. popcorn, beverages etc.) may be dropped or spilt.

I have tickets to see a 4dx movie in a few weeks, but I just read that the seats have a recommended 240lb weight limit. I'm about 275, so obviously more than that. It's not exactly an intense movie (it's a concert) so I can't imagine there's a ton of movement which is what I would think the weight limit is for.
What's 4DX actually like? One thing is that the seats are much more comfortable than most cinema chairs– presumably as they have to be a lot thicker to hide all the equipment inside. There are cup holders in the corner, but I'd suggest having the lid on unless you want your drink to go everywhere.
