The end of Cruella also reveals that her decision not to kill the Dalmatians brought about a positive change. In the mid-credits scene, she delivers two of Genghis' puppies to Roger's (Kayvan Novak) and Anita's (Kirby Howell-Baptiste) homes.
Some theorize that her hatred for animals is a result of her traumatic childhood; her parents were allegedly distant and emotionally abusive, and her only solace was her pet black and white spotted puppy.

Why didn t Cruella use real dogs?
For the real dogs, there were about six trainers on the set of Cruella. According to Gillespie, dalmatians were especially hard to work with because their attention span was limited and they became rather rambunctious and fidgety when in a scene with other dogs.
No animals are physically abused but some are mistreated (spoken harshly to for no reason, used as weapons/trained to be aggressive, etc). A swarm of moths flies around a group of people who scream and run.

Estella tries to be calm and kind but struggles with what appears to be a borderline personality disorder and has trouble keeping her raging and mean alter ego, Cruella, under control. When school bullies repeatedly taunt and torment Estella, she loses control and is expelled from school.
