There are many powerful villains in the DC Universe, but few are as strong as Darkseid, the God of Apokolips. The embodiment of evil and tyranny, Darkseid rarely respects anyone, since he views most life as below him.
His skin turned to stone, Uxas rechristened himself as Darkseid. At some point, he fell in love with an Apokoliptian scientist and sorceress named Suli, with whom he had a son, Kalibak.
Longtime Darkseid fans will know that Suli was the only woman Darkseid truly loved; she was killed as part of a conspiracy between Desad and Darkseid's mother Heggra, in a plot to harden Darkseid's heart.

Who did Darkseid fear?
Phobia: Incredible as it may seem, Darkseid fears his father, Yuga Khan, more than anything else; Yuga Khan is the one being in the universe far more powerful and evil and was worse of a tyrant than even Darkseid.
Darkseid is the God of Evil, the ultimate threat to good in the DC Multiverse. There are multiple iterations of just about every DC character across the Multiverse but there is only one Darkseid. Darkseid is the embodiment of evil in the DC Multiverse.
However, Steppenwolf betrayed Darkseid to enemies who wanted to seize the throne of Apokolips, but he later turned on the would-be usurpers, defeating them in the hope of correcting his error. Still, due to his betrayal, he was exiled from his home and tasked with conquering 150,000 worlds for his penance.
Put simply, the Anti-Life Equation is a mathematical formula that proves the futility of existence and free will. In the wrong hands, that formula is a terrible weapon with the power to brainwash and enslave entire worlds. That's why Darkseid is so obsessed with Anti-Life.
Amid the battles, Darkseid and Thanos meet, where the Mad Titan offers a wager to the DC supervillain. He asks Darkseid if he'd like to make a wager on the fights, showing respect by referring to him as the "Lord of Destruction."
In Jack Kirby's Fourth World setting, the Anti-Life Equation is a formula for total control over the minds of sentient beings that is sought by Darkseid, who, for this reason, sends his forces to Earth, as he believes part of the equation exists in the subconsciousness of humanity.
Just looking at the numbers, Darkseid would win. His Omega Beams wipe out anything they hit from existance, or in the case of Batman send that person back in time.
Weakness. Radion: Darkseid and all of the New Gods are vulnerable to a substance called Radion. It source is unknown and its effects are toxic only in sustained amounts or after explosive exposure. The average New God can be slain by an application of Radion from a Radion blaster or bomb.
Darkseid is not afraid of Superman. He didn't come to Earth himself because Steppenwolf owed him thousands of worlds as a repentance of the Great Betrayal. Steppenwolf was afraid of Superman and referred to him as 'The Kryptonian'.
As mentioned before, there were two heroes responsible for Darkseid's demise, and the other was none other than Green Arrow. While it was the Atom who destroyed Darkseid's brain, it was Oliver Queen's expert archery skills that allowed Ray to be shot into Darkseid's head to begin with.
Unfortunately, before he could use it, Darkseid was defeated (nearly dying from his wounds) and forced to retreat by a combined army comprised of Humans, Amazons, and Atlanteans, along with the involvement of Ares, Zeus and Artemis of Old Gods and Yalan Gur, a member of the Green Lantern Corps.
He has superhuman speed and strength, and once fought Zeus to a standstill. Thor would certainly be thwarted by Darkseid. This fearsome villain would be able to drain the lifeforce from him, and even his godly weaponry doesn't seem like it could withstand Darkseid's Omega Beams.
This Darkseid? The Avengers would win, only if they were fighting together (Thor, Wanda, Strange, Danvers, Vision, etc) seeing that it took Atlantians, Amazonians and Zeus and Ares at their most mature form to defeat him.
Nicknamed the God of Evil for a reason, Darkseid rarely shies away from showing off his strength, making it even more noteworthy that Doomsday is both a foe he feared and one of the only enemies he chose to escape rather than destroy.
Thanos is famous for killing half the Universe to stop resource depletion and to balance the population which he blames for ruining the Universe, which is another excuse for the warlord's evil exploits and the reason why Darkseid is a better villain who destroys without acting with the intent to benefit the universe or ...
However, where does Steppenwolf come into play, and which DC villain is stronger? Darkseid is most definitely the stronger of the two beings, as Steppenwolf serves as Darkseid's general, leading the Parademon armies into battle on his behalf.
