Right after Anakin dons the Darth Vader mask and takes his first mechanical breath, Padmé takes her last breath and passes away. Darth Vader awakens, and his first question is about the whereabouts of Padmé. Palpatine tells Darth Vader that in his anger he killed her, placing the blame for Padmé's death on Vader.
Once inside the spiritual realm, Vader went through various trials, but eventually, he found Padmé. All indication was that Vader could have brought her back to life just like Momin did with his body. But Padmé refused to come. She threw herself from a balcony, claiming that she no longer recognized her love.
Padme's death is the moment that solidifies Darth Vader's fall to the Dark Side, and expanded Star Wars media has often shown him mourning her when not serving The Empire.
However, the animated series and comics are now revealing that the Sith Lord showed what Padmé meant to him even after his transformation. Considering his position as a servant of Emperor Palpatine, it can be assumed that Vader eventually moved past his feelings.
He had no idea Padmé had given birth before she died, still less that the Jedi had spirited the children away and hidden them. Darth Vader's illusions were shattered shortly after the destruction of the first Death Star.

Anakin does not have even the slightest bit of remorse. By the end, he feels nothing but anger. Although he feels regret for killing Padme, he still helps the evil Emperor. The film ends with Anakins standing side by side with the man on whose behalf he has committed all his crimes.
In the main Star Wars timeline, of course, Darth Vader's attempts to resurrect Padmé on Mustafar were doomed to failure. But it's fascinating to speculate what would have happened had he been successful. In that scenario, Padmé Amidala's return from the dead would not have provided the solace Darth Vader sought.
Anakin truly did care for Padme, except Anakin was not at all in his right mind when he choked her. Anakin has many issues, he has tramua both from war and childhood, he has sever fear of loss and he is extremely loyal to the ones he chooses to befriend. This all comes into play in this moment when he chokes her.

Thus, he never had any romantic relationships again after Padme's death. Even if he wanted to, I highly doubt he could have after all the injuries he sustained on Mustafar, anyway. If this were real life, he would have died on Mustafar after Obi-Wan chopped off his limbs and left him to burn alive.
Nonetheless, as she dies, Padme tells Obi-Wan that there is still good in Anakin. Even something as heinous as that couldn't fully break her love for Anakin.
However, when it comes to who Darth Vader hates more than anyone in the Star Wars galaxy, himself and Obi-Wan Kenobi don't hold a candle to the true point of Darth Vader's hatred, Emperor Palpatine.
Once he becomes Darth Vader, each evil act he commits shatters any hope or connection towards his previous life, which makes it harder for him to return to the light, but he ultimately escapes the dark side and redeems himself by sacrificing his life to save his son, Luke Skywalker, and kill the Emperor in Return of ...
He was trying to deform Padmé's personal ship. And it works. The entire hull is burnt to a crisp. Soon Vader's castle is constructed in such a way that will channel enough dark energy to open a gateway to another world so he can resurrect Padmé.

Despite this, when Anakin learns of Padme's death, his immediate reaction of grief and regret shatters everything in the lab with a powerful force shockwave.
Padme didn't die as a result of childbirth or because Anakin force-choked her. Instead, she died because she had lost the will to live in the light of Anakin's transition to evil. Believe it or not, this can actually happen medically.
Being such a notable figure in not only the Senate but the entirety of Naboo, Bail knew Padme's death would raise suspicions. And with the lives of Luke and Leia being more important than the truth, he fabricated a new story about how and why she died and pretended that her children were left unborn.
