Journey of Water, Epcot's new Moana-themed walk-through attraction, has officially opened to visitors at Walt Disney World in Florida. The self-guided, tropical-themed experience is the first Disney parks attraction inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Moana.
From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes Moana, an epic adventure about a spirited teen who sets sail on a daring mission to prove herself a master wayfinder and fulfill her ancestors' unfinished quest.

How to Access Moana Journey of Water. Now that Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is open to the public, guests have a chance to experience this new walkthrough attraction via a standby queue. During peak times, a virtual queue may be used as needed, so be sure to double-check the day of your visit.

Is Journey of Water worth it?
Overall, Journey of Water is a great addition to Epcot and in my opinion is a must-do if you are at the park, just to see the rockwork and how impressive the landscaping of the area is.
Moana is unlocked by opening the castle door leading to her realm. You will need to complete a series of quests and build a house for her in the Valley to get her to move in.

As with other Tiki God statues, Maui can also be found at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World. A separate Tiki depiction of Maui appears as the mascot for Disney's resort, having a large wooden statue in the resort's lobby which depicts him.
Moana's Journey of Water will be part of the new World Nature neighborhood. (As a reminder, Walt Disney World has eliminated EPCOT's Future World and replaced it with 3 new neighborhoods.) World Nature is dedicated to understanding and preserving the beauty, awe and balance of the natural world.
