Johanna Constantine will be back in The Sandman Season 2. The Sandman star Jenna Coleman has confirmed the return of Johanna Constantine in the now-confirmed second season.
Constantine is not seen again until issue 71 of Sandman. In Sandman Presents: Love Street, where a young John Constantine is seen in the house of Morpheus when Dream was still being held captive.
Honoring the deal, she eventually passed away at the age of 99, but remained unable to rescue her daughter. Her success in rescuing Orpheus led to a grave being built in her honor on the island of Orpheus, which was tended daily by his priests until the day that Orpheus died.
After convincing Dream to help Rachel, who ultimately died peacefully in her sleep, Johanna and Dream parted ways, though not before he upheld his end of the deal and took away her nightmare.

Who is Dream's wife Sandman?
Calliope. Calliope is at the center of one of the most disturbing storylines in the Sandman comics, which has already been portrayed in the Netflix series. Before her horrific imprisonment, she was married to Dream, known as Oneiros to her people.
It's completely possible that Johanna has feelings for Finnick, but respects his love for Annie enough that she never acts on it. During the Quarter Quell, Johanna is very protective of Finnick (ie she blames Katniss for letting Mags die) and Finnick is obviously he only one comfortable with her.

She was created by Neil Gaiman as a tribute to Alan Moore, who created John Constantine. Operating as an occult detective and adventurer in the 18th and 19th centuries, Johanna Constantine is thus John Constantine's ancestor. And clearly John's inspiration for how he lives his own demon-hunting life.

Dream was one of the seven Endless, powerful beings that are older than gods. He went by countless names; such as Oneiros, Morpheus and Sandman. He was the personification, as well as the lord over all dreams and reality. After his death, his power passed to Daniel Hall, who became the new incarnation of Dream.
Johanna remains in the Capitol for quite a while, and she and Peeta are tortured for information concerning District 13 and the mockingjay rebellion. While in the Capitol, Johanna's entire head is shaved, making her bald.
She was also fitted with a bald cap that included tracking markers. This allowed her head to be digitally altered to appear shaven, even though all her hair was stuffed under the cap. This is likely the reason that she had to shave part of her head, in order to make the cap fit properly.
There are, however, a few crucial differences — the first being that, in the show, Calliope was once Morpheus's wife, rather than just his lover. In the original comics, the two were never married.
