In the books, Massimo is an absolute villain and much worse than the character in the films. Laura eventually ends up divorcing him. It's revealed that Laura ended up with Nacho after escaping another abusive situation that ends up with Massimo drugging her and trying to get her pregnant.
Does Laura end up with Massimo or Nacho in the end?
The book ends with Laura choosing to be with Nacho, but that is after Massimo holds her against her will, drugs her and tries to get her pregnant. It's not really a surprise she escaped with Nacho in that scenario. The epilogue shows they have a daughter together, while Massimo has given up and agreed to a divorce.
In Book 3 (“Kolejne 365 dni”), Laura and Massimo drift apart following the loss of their second child together. Both begin abusing substances in the process. Laura moves on with Nacho after realizing that Massimo has murdered her dog and tried to frame Nacho for the horrific crime.
What happens to Laura at the end of the next 365 days?
Laura finally tells Massimo that she lost her pregnancy in a car crash at the end of the original 365 Days and Massimo is hurt that she didn't inform him at the time. This drives a wedge between the duo, resulting in Laura eventually sleeping with Nacho while she is in Portugal on business.
Major spoilers are ahead. Before she gets married to Massimo at the start of the movie, Laura reveals to her BFF Olga that she hasn't told him that she was pregnant. It's revealed that although she survived the accident, she unfortunately lost her baby as a result.
Slowly Laura finds herself getting very attracted towards Nacho. Massimo, on the other hand, becomes a drug addict. All of this makes Laura meet Nacho, who has also fallen for her. Laura leaves Massimo and starts living with Nacho.
Also (for once) this is a gay love story that does not have a tragic ending. It's bittersweet and a little sad (I admit I was crying) but hopeful. I applaud any gay film that doesn't end tragically.
Since around May of 2023, dozens of posts about a 365 Days 4 coming to Netflix have surfaced on Facebook and gone viral. One of the biggest accrued tens of thousands of likes and shares. Only, it's not true. There is currently no plans for a 365 Days 4.
Though the end of the first movie left the audience in suspense as to whether Laura survived the attack in the tunnel, at the beginning of the sequel, we see that she is safe and sound.

Adriano, you see, had been posing as Massimo in order to make Laura think her husband had been cheating on her, which in turn led her into the arms of Nacho – a mafioso from a rival family who had been posing as a charming gardener.
Laura eventually manages to escape him by seducing him and leaving when he lets his guard down. In the epilogue, Laura and Nacho eventually get engaged and have a daughter together.
When Laura catches Adriano and Anna hooking up, she believes she's catching Massimo red-handed. She spends a short period of time feeling heartbroken and devastated by what she believes she saw. It turns out Massimo never cheated on her, and it was simply a case of mistaken identity.

Apparently, from what I've heard the book 3 of 365 days was Laura falling in love with Nacho again her cheating with Massimo but then fast forward to the end, at Domenico and Olga's wedding, Massimo brought a girl.
