Luke Skywalker Can Finally Learn About His Mother's Past
It's worth noting that Luke tells Leia in Return of the Jedi that he has no memory of his mother. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that he wasn't told about her at some point as is being teased with this new issue releasing on Free Comic Book Day.
Padmé Amidala (portrayed by Natalie Portman) is the wife of Anakin Skywalker, the mother of Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa, the daughter-in-law of Shmi Skywalker, the mother-in-law of Han Solo, and the maternal grandmother of Ben Solo. She served as Queen of Naboo, and later as a Senator for her planet.
The 2009 novel A New Hope: The Life of Luke Skywalker written by Ryder Windham depicts Luke's early life. In the novel, Luke overhears his Aunt Beru mention Shmi, which leads to Beru explaining that Shmi is his grandmother, and that she's buried somewhere on Tatooine.
Shmi was buried at the farm with a gravestone marking her grave. After her husband Cliegg Lars died, he was buried next to her. Both of their headstones were later presumed to have been removed by her stepson, Owen Lars and stepdaughter Beru Lars supposedly to protect Shmi's grandson Luke from being discovered.

How is Owen related to Luke?
Owen Lars continued his father Cliegg's efforts to build his homestead into a productive farm, working alongside his wife, Beru. Helping with the dreary chores required to keep the farm profitable, Owen relies on his nephew, Luke Skywalker, whom the couple raised since birth.
Padmé died shortly after giving birth to Luke and Leia, swearing with her last words that there was still good in Anakin Skywalker. The twins were split up, with Luke going to Tatooine with Obi-Wan while Bail took Leia to Alderaan. Later, the children born on humble Polis Massa would change the fate of the galaxy.
Leia's Force abilities and her lack of awareness of her true identity also contributed to Vader's inability to sense their familial connection. Vader's denial of Anakin Skywalker's legacy and his fear of getting hurt again prevented him from realizing the truth about his children until later in the original trilogy.
Leia may have initially trained as a Jedi, but she never desired a relationship with Anakin Skywalker's Force ghost. Claudia Gray's novel Bloodline established that Leia struggled with the knowledge that Darth Vader was her father, as her memories of the Dark Lord of the Sith were the stuff of nightmares.
Vader could not sense that Luke was his son. In canon, Vader found out because Luke told Boba Fett that he was “Luke Skywalker.” This was explained in the canon comic Star Wars (2015) 5. Vader only sensed Leia was Luke's sister because Luke was thinking about her on the Death Star II.
Maternal Bond Through the Force: Padmé's deep love for her children and her powerful connection to the Force could have created a robust and unique bond between her and the newborn twins. This bond might have allowed Leia to subconsciously sense or even "remember" her mother's emotions, feelings, and presence.
Luke and Leia never sensed that they were twins until Return of the Jedi despite both being sensitive to the Force. Anakin Skywalker's twin children are the original Star Wars trilogy's driving force, having been separated after Padme's death.
Anakin Skywalker's birth mystery is solved - his mother, Shmi Skywalker, reveals that there was no father and she can't explain what happened. Qui-Gon Jinn believed that the Force itself created Anakin in Shmi's womb, making him the Chosen One who would bring balance to the Force.

As the fans will remember, in Episode I it is mentioned that Anakin was conceived by the Force, since his mother, Shmi Skywalker, claimed that there was never a father involved in her pregnancy.

Without a man having fathering her child, it is believed to have been conceived within her by the midi-chlorians.
Relationships were strictly forbidden in the Jedi Order, and all of them had to forgo their own parents. So with Anakin being a Padawan up to Attack of the Clones, there was never a chance for him to sneak off and go find Shmi, at least without Obi-Wan knowing.
The Tusken Raiders tortured, mutilated and starved Shmi Skywalker while she was their captive. She was also denied medical treatment and consequently died from her wounds. Her death affected Anakin Skywalker, who giving into his anger, slaughtered an entire village of Tuskens including women, children and animals.
