Wonder Woman does get her powers back in the end. She also received the ability to fly which is extremely thrilling for the fans to watch. She, then, goes on to save the world and lives with her newly received gift. Wonder Woman loses her powers when she wishes to the Dreamstone that she has Steve Trevor back.
Yes, Wonder Woman can now literally ride the lightning using her Lasso of Truth. Not only that, but after letting go of Steve Trevor she does a massive jump that then turns into flight. Wonder Woman can fly!
She was already weaker than in the original because of the contract where she lost her powers for her lover, but she still didn't feel like the strong superhero we all know and love. The other aspects of the movie were also weak and underplayed.
The 1980s setting of the film doesn't add much interest or depth to Wonder Woman's journey as WWI did in the first movie. The character of Cheetah falls flat, with a rushed arc and lack of screen time, leaving Wonder Woman without a memorable villain.

Highlights. Wonder Woman's strength and powers are impressive, but she has been defeated by surprising opponents. Batwoman managed to beat Wonder Woman and nearly kill her using her combat skills and the lasso of truth. Swamp Thing easily defeated Wonder Woman without even needing to attack her, leaving her helpless.
