Bucky Barnes was brought back from his supposed death to be a brainwashed assassin called Winter Soldier. Reformed by his friends, he now fights alongside the Avengers.
2024- Bucky Barnes Is Granted A Conditional Pardon Shortly after Avengers: Endgame, Bucky Barnes receives a conditional pardon from the US government, forgiving him of his past actions as the Winter Soldier provided he attend mandatory therapy sessions. Barnes agrees, attempting to atone for his sins.
After the events of Captain America: Civil War, Bucky went to Wakanda. It was shown in a post-credit scene in CW. There, T'Challa's sister, Shuri was able to (after a long time of studying his brain) figure out how to get Bucky's mind back.
Having trained under Steve Rogers (the original Captain America in World War II) and others in the time leading up to World War II, "Bucky" Barnes is a master of hand-to-hand combat and martial arts, as well as being skilled in the use of military weapons such as firearms and grenades.
As a villain, it made sense to present the Winter Soldier as unstoppable, to make him a better foil for the heroes he fought. With his reformation comes an increased vulnerability; physically weakening him helps the audience better identify with him and ensures he can't simply knock out opponents with one punch.
Who is physically stronger Bucky or Captain America?
In terms of raw strength, Captain America is typically portrayed as being stronger than the Winter Soldier, although the Winter Soldier's combat skills and agility can still make him a formidable opponent.
We see that he's deprogrammed 6 months before the snap in FATWS. He's then snapped away and comes back 5 years later. FATWS takes place 6 months after he comes back. So Bucky is likely 33 physically while chronologically being 107 (FATWS takes place in April 2024, so Bucky's wrong about being 106).
Taking the experimentation, cryogenic freezing and time skips into consideration, Bucky is physically somewhere in his mid-30s by the time The Falcon and the Winter Soldier takes place, making him appear seventy-some years younger than his chronological age.
While under control of the Russians, Barnes meets and begins falling in love with Natasha Romanoff, who goes onto become the Black Widow. He reunites with her after regaining his senses in the modern era.
Bucky Barnes, like Steve Rogers, has lived for several decades due to cryogenic freezing and the super-soldier serum. Bucky's life expectancy could potentially surpass Steve's 116 years, depending on circumstances. Despite outwardly aging at the same rate as Steve, Bucky can still live for at least another 80 years.
On a 1945 mission gone wrong, Bucky fell to his assumed death, losing his left arm in his fall from a train. When he was recovered by Hydra and brainwashed to become the Winter Soldier, he was given a titanium prosthetic arm, but he didn't keep it for long.
However, Helmut Zemo later takes control of Barnes to destroy the Avengers. This conflict, along with internal strife over the Sokovia Accords, causes the Avengers to split up and Rogers is forced to hide Barnes in Wakanda, where Shuri eventually cures him of his programming and is given a new code name, White Wolf.
Although Bucky has come a long way in his recent MCU appearances, his history as the Winter Soldier disqualifies him from ever becoming Captain America. Throughout the entire Cold War and beyond, the Winter Soldier operated as a Hydra assassin, killing numerous American operatives during that time.
He is terrified of heights. Bucky's fear of heights stems from his childhood. His father was killed in a parachute accident while teaching other soldiers how to jump out of a helicopter. Heights killed one of Bucky's greatest heroes, his father, and that is something that sticks with an impressionable young boy.
Even Bucky's variant serum should allow him to age normally (unless he gets frozen again). A side effect of the Super-Soldier Serum that the Winter Soldier shares with Captain America is that neither can get drunk.
Surviving the war and believing Captain America's death, Bucky eventually marries Gail Richards and has a large extended family. During which, Bucky is diagnosed as having lung cancer from chain smoking back in the War. Barnes and Gail both live to see Steve's revival in the 21st century and renews their friendship.
According to Google, comics Bucky was born March 10, 1917. If we presume that's the case for movie Bucky, he'd have been 24 when the US declared war against Japan and 28 when the war was in it's closing days, which is generally the time frame for when he disappeared.

Based on previous scenes in the MCU, it's apparent that Bucky for sure speaks and understands Romanian, Russian, German, and Japanese, as well as his native English, of course.

The fact of the matter is, the arm still functions as a part of his body. The superpowered enhancements do not change the fact that he will still naturally experience pain when his body is put under such stress, especially when the arm is attached to so many nerves that could've been damaged from losing his actual arm.
