In March 1942, during World War II, HYDRA forces led by Johann Schmidt invaded Tønsberg where he found the Tesseract in a box hidden behind a sculptured mural of Yggdrasil, the world tree. Schmidt took the Tesseract back to HYDRA Headquarters to be the subject of experiments by Arnim Zola.
The Tesseract was brought to Earth from Asgard by Odin. It remained in a temple in a small village for several centuries. It was later found by HYDRA and taken by force and used as a power source for a super weapon which could destroy almost anything upon impact.
In Captain Marvel, we see Danvers's “cat” Goose uses his tentacle mouth to keep the Tesseract with him and Nick Fury for safekeeping, and it's not till decades later — as seen in one of the film's two end-credits scenes — that Goose coughs it up on Nick Fury's desk, presumably handing it off to Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D.

However, Cooper was killed by Mark Smith who defected from S.H.I.E.L.D. to HYDRA after being recruited by Baron Strucker and transported the Scepter to the HYDRA Research Base in Sokovia.
But in the Captain Marvel movie at the end you find out that the the core of the Mar-vell ship was the tesseract. Question is how did they get it? SHIELD (or Stark, or someone similar) gave it to Lawson to research, not knowing she was actually Mar-Vell.

Are there two tesseracts in Marvel?
As far as we know, there is only one tesseract in existence, and this is that tesseract. If there are two, doesn't that kind of throw of Thanos' grand plan to collect 'em all? There's never been mention of a second, which means the one Mar-Vel is using is the same one that's been around the galaxy multiple times.
As a Kree, Mar-Vell used to fight her people's wars for half of her life with loyalty. However, she was intelligent and sympathetic enough to eventually realize the atrocities the Kree committed against Skrulls, leading her to change sides and secretly help the Skrulls.
Bucky Barnes spent decades as HYDRA's brainwashed Winter Soldier before an encounter with Steve Rogers and the Avengers helped him begin breaking out of their hold. He couldn't undo all their training on his own, however, and finally found true freedom thanks to Shuri's work in Wakanda.
The Reality Stone is also known as the Aether, a fiery, floating, red liquid. This infinity stone can represent your own desired reality. In the Marvel comics, it focuses more on fulfilling your wishes and desires.
By December 1991, Howard Stark managed to recreate the Super Soldier Serum, prompting HYDRA to send Winter Soldier to assassinate Stark and his wife Maria and retrieve the serum.
Eventually, Carter managed to push the Champion back into the portal by entering it herself, allowing Stark to close the portal. Decades later, the Tesseract ended up in S.H.I.E.L.D. possession and was used for the Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S., as S.H.I.E.L.D. sought a source of unlimited energy.

Researching in history to find the greatest weapon ever known to mankind, Schmidt learned of the Tesseract, which was lost on Earth having been held in Odin's Vault.

As explained in ULTIMATE X-MEN (2001) #11, Ultimate Fury was transporting Weapon X through Kuwait when their convoy was ambushed. He lost his left eye in the explosion but was ultimately saved by the man who would become Wolverine. And, he's worn the eyepatch ever since!
All that is known is that thousands of years ago, it came into the hands of the Asgardian civilization. The Tesseract was kept inside of Odin's Vault, and for unknown reasons, it was eventually brought to Earth and left in Tønsberg, Norway, where it was guarded by devout human Asgardian worshipers.

Apart from the scene in which he almost lost the Gauntlet and was stabbed by Stormbreaker in the chest, Thanos was confident he'd win. He didn't really need the Reality Stone in his battle with the Avengers. The other Stones were more than enough for him to get what he wanted.
However, Barnes actually survived the fall thanks to the experimentation Zola had performed on him, and it was HYDRA who would make use of the man who would come to be known as the Winter Soldier...
The fact that Bucky did wear the arm is why it disappeared according to the Russo brothers (via Comicbook), as they stated anything that was part of someone's identity would disappear when snapped.

Characters like Mar-Vell were known as "pink skins" and were treated as lesser forms of Kree by the original blue-skinned Kree. While this wasn't shown in Captain Marvel, it's likely that this was still practiced, at least to some degree.
The Kree and the Skrulls have an intense hatred for one another, and it all started with an intergalactic contest. As detailed in Avengers #123 (1974), the conflict began millions of years ago when the Skrulls visited the planet Hala. At the time Hala was home to two species, the Kree and the Cotati.
However, it appears that his natural attributes are greater than most of his species, likely due to his status as an Accuser and his advanced technology. Ronan effortlessly lifting up Drax Ronan was known to be among the strongest of the Krees, even being worshipped by some for his great power.
