One of the sole reasons Morgana turned into a villain was because she was corrupted by Morgause. With Morgana in Morgause's company for a year, the witch successfully brainwashed her sister into believing Uther and Arthur were the real evil.
Morgana turned evil because she trusts her sister(Morguase). But what really pushed her was when she found out she was uthers daughter giving her a right to the throne.
And with her now revealed to have magic, Morgana's resent on Uther became hate, which contributed to her turn to the dark side and Morgause merely did the rest. She also helped train Morgana hone her powers and help control them.
It is revealed that the reason for her fall into evil was that she believed her old master, Merlin, and other people of Camelot turned on her when she reveals just how much she despised how they treated everything involving magic, including the creatures and spell casters.
First and foremost, Arthur too, had killed many of her kind. She did not feel like she could trust him. Also, Uther favored him (and illegitimacy aside, Morgana was actually next in line for the throne since she was born before Arthur) so it was natural for her to feel jealous of him.
Does Arthur loves Morgana? They are half-siblings, and in the early part of his reign Arthur entirely trusts Morgan and allows her to take care of his sword and magical sheath for him. After she betrays him Arthur no longer trusts her, for the very good reason she nearly cost him her life.
Merlin is also extremely powerful like Morgana however he doesn't practice too much dark magic. Overall, Merlin would win but Morgana would've been a close second if she realised Merlin was Emrys sooner.
History. Merlin tricked Morgana into drinking a mixture of water and hemlock after he learned that she was the source of Morgause's sleeping enchantment.
Originally a kind-hearted individual, Morgana changed entirely, becoming evil after being corrupted by Morgause and being betrayed by her former-friend, Merlin.
The Phantom Thieves infiltrate Maruki's Palace and ultimately defeat him and his Persona, Adam Kadmon, but Joker can negotiate a deal with Maruki for Morgan to remain as a human. Regardless of how Persona 5 Royal concludes, Morgana is once again in his cat form in Persona 5 Strikers, the spin-off sequel of Persona 5.
Morgana catches up with Merlin and Arthur and drives their horses away, but she is killed by Merlin wielding Excalibur. Without horses, Merlin cannot get Arthur to the Isle in time, and Arthur dies in Merlin's arms, after thanking his friend for everything he has done.
Instead of telling her about his powers in order to comfort her about her own, he tried to help without showing he actually understood her fear. As a result, it is Morgous instead of Merlin who teaches Morgana about magic and its purpose, so Morgan's learns to use her power for evil instead of for good.
Arthur, son of Igraine and Uther Pendragon, is thus Morgan's half-brother, and her full sisters include Mordred's mother, the Queen of Orkney. The young Morgan unhappily marries Urien, with whom she has a son, Yvain.

Uther very clearly had a strong, almost irrational, love for Morgana. I think in many ways he loved her more than Arthur. If Morgana hadn't turned evil do you think it's possible she could have changed his perspective on magic? I suspect that was the idea.
Arthur was unaware of Merlin's powers until the very last episode of season 5 ("The Diamond of the Day: Part 2). In one of Merlin and Arthur's best moments, both men share a beautiful but bittersweet conversation as Arthur's discovered everything Merlin had done and sacrificed for him.
It is unknown whether Merlin failed or fulfilled his destiny. Though Arthur's death would appear to have averted it, the Great Dragon told Merlin that all he had dreamt of building had come to pass and that when Albion's need was greatest, Arthur would rise again.
However, Mordred's faith in Arthur and Camelot was shattered after the imprisonment and death of his beloved Kara. Believing that Arthur had betrayed him and metaphorically spat on their friendship, Mordred turned against the king and joined Morgana once more.
