Can you bring a lightsaber from Disney on a plane?
Before you travel home, you could detach the lightsaber blade from the hilt to help with packing. The blade measures 31 inches long and hilts can be 10 to 13 inches long. I have often seen travelers stowing their lightsabers in the overhead compartments of the airplane with ease.
If you have a tall enough suitcase, it should fit inside – the blade is 31 inches (or about 79 centimetres) long. We were able to fit ours into our carry-on luggage by placing it diagonally across the suitcase, and then tucking the hilt beside the blade itself.
You can certainly bring your full lightsaber with you on most rides, but just keep in mind that you will be asked to safely stow it away to enjoy the attraction. If you don't already have one, I would recommend considering a Lightsaber Sheath to keep your elegant weapon for a more civilized age safe from damage.
Another option is storing it in an extra-large locker. These jumbo lockers are located just outside the main entrance to Disneyland Park. You'll want to remove the blade of your lightsaber before storing it to make it more compact. If you're not sure how to do this, please ask a Cast Member at Savi's before you leave.

Advanced reservations may go quickly (though the demand has become much more relaxed since it opened in 2019) — yet we still recommend planning ahead if it's a must-do for when you visit Batuu.
