Once all three Inquisitors are killed, Maul turns on the Jedi, revealing his intention to take Ezra as his apprentice and that he tricked him into activating the temple. After blinding Kanan with his lightsaber, Maul briefly duels Ahsoka and then the now-blind Kanan, who knocks him off the temple's edge.
Both the Fifth Brother and Seventh Sister were killed by Maul on Malachor while the Eighth Brother fell to his death from atop of the Malachor Sith Temple.

The Sixth Brother (formerly named Bil Valen) is an Inquisitor and the main antagonist of Star Wars Disney novel Ahsoka and a secondary antagonist in Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith, by Marvel Comics. He was defeated and killed by Ahsoka Tano.
Maul plans to kill Vader and resume his rightful place at Palpatine's side. He ignites his new double-bladed lightsaber and engages Obi-Wan in a duel, but Obi-Wan again bests him in combat, cutting off his opponent's horns. Maul is killed by a blaster bolt to the head from Owen Lars.
Regardless, based on the season 7 of The Clone Wars, and the fact that Darth Maul was aware of Anakin Skywalker's future and his role as the Chosen One, it is very likely that Darth Maul indeed feared Darth Vader to some extent, and preferred to avoid a direct confrontation with him, at least, on his own.

By the time of Episode 3; Anakin is in his prime, and already one of the Jedi Order's most powerful “masters” (although technically still a knight), just behind Obi-Wan, Windu, and Yoda. Maul wouldn't stand a chance.
Order 66 marked the downfall of the Jedi, orchestrated by Palpatine to cut them off from the light side of the Force. Survivors like Yoda, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan lived on, facing the Empire's wrath as they struggled to continue their fight.
Order 69(AKA "clean up") was the idea to kill the entire clone army in one sitting, leaving the Jedi defenseless and exposed by the sudden departure. Palpatine knows the Jedi's weakness is empathy and most will try to help the clones and now it should be easy to either drive the Jedi into hiding or have them killed.
