Believing Deimos to be dead, Kratos marked himself with a red tattoo, identical to his brother's birthmark, to honor his brother. Through flashbacks in the comic series (2010–11) written by Marv Wolfman, Kratos meets his wife Lysandra and they have a daughter named Calliope.
Long before Atreus/Loki came along, Kratos already had another family during his tenure as a Spartan mortal back in Greece. He had a wife named Lysandra whom he bore a daughter with, named Calliope.
Divine-Jötnar Physiology: Atreus is the son of Kratos, a Greek divine being and the former God of War, and son to Zeus, and Laufey, a powerful Jötnar Giant.
Calliope (Greek: Καλλιόπη) was the beloved daughter of Kratos and Lysandra. She, along with her mother, were unknowingly killed by Kratos as part of Ares' plot to harden Kratos' heart in order to make him the "perfect warrior" with no ties to the mortal realm.
If he does, Kratos would be given Red Orbs. While having sex with her, the handmaidens say Kratos has "such power" and later they begin making love, as well. Aphrodite wanted Kratos to have sex with her again, but an impatient Kratos refused. Irritated, Aphrodite tells Kratos to go to Hephaestus for help instead.
Lysandra (Greek: Λυσάνδρα) was a Spartan woman who was Kratos' first wife and mother to his daughter, Calliope. Though Kratos had many women in his time, he felt truly connected to Lysandra and considered her his soul mate and true love.
While he wouldn't know it for most of his life, Kratos was a demigod as he is the son of Zeus, but he would later become a full-on god, the God of War to be precise, after killing Ares. After years of serving the Greek gods, Kratos became disillusioned, and resentment towards the gods grew strong.
Atreus (Greek: Ἀτρεύς) / Loki (Nordic: ᛚᛟᚲᛁ) also known as Loki Laufeyson (Translation: Loki, son of Laufey), is the Norse God of Mischief and the Champion of the Jötnar. He is the deuteragonist of God of War (2018) and one of the two protagonists of God of War Ragnarök along with Kratos.
Pelops then entered Pisa, became its king and named the land "Peloponnesus", meaning "island of Pelops". He fathered several sons, including Thyestes, the father of Aegisthus, and Atreus, the father of Menelaus and Agamemnon.
Atreus and Loki have always been one in the same character in God of War, but the name has far less significance to both Kratos and Atreus than it does to the audience. Loki, as it was revealed, was the name that Kratos' wife, Faye, wanted to give Atreus when he was born.
However, Atreus also had two sons, Agamemnon and Menelaus, the two brothers who figure so centrally in The Iliad and The Odyssey. As you know, Agamemnon married Clytemnestra, and Menelaus married her half sister, Helen (known later as Helen of Troy).
Initially, the name John Kratos was nothing more than a joke shared on Twitter by The Guardian's gaming editor, Keza MacDonald. But as is the case with so much internet content these days, it soon gained its own lifeforce, eventually leading to PlayStation canonising the name.
See unlike Kratos who was born as a Demi-God and evolved into a God of War later on, Atreus was born to his father, now a God, and his Mother who was a Pure Giant.
Towards the end of the first title, players learn that Atreus's mother, Faye, originally named him Loki — as in the God of Mischief. It was Kratos who later gave Atreus the name he's referred to throughout the game, though there's no doubt this little bit of knowledge will become important in Ragnarok.
Atreus was revealed to be Loki when he discovered his true identity in the game's final act. The Jötnar, the giants of Norse mythology, revealed that Atreus was named Loki at birth.
Other characters like Alucard, Ōnoki, Anos Voldigoad, Lelouch, Kaguya Otsutsuki, and many more possess unique abilities and powers that can disintegrate, immobilize, or overpower Kratos in combat.
In God of War Ragnarök, it's likely that Kratos is around 1,055 years old. He's something of an old man, but as a demigod, he is still more than young enough to hold his own and then some in battle. Unfortunately, this is based on maths and educated guesses. Kratos's age is never told in the games.
He is a Greek - Sparta being a city state in Greece and his voice is grizzly because it sounds badass. Nothing more. Yeah he's voiced by an African-American but he is of course meant to be Spartan. Which is Medetarranian in Ethnicity.
After Kratos finally completed his mission of destroying the Greek pantheon, he wandered the world until he arrived in the realm of Norse Mythology. This is where he meets Faye, a fierce and beautiful warrior that Kratos eventually fell in love with.
Since Kratos was the one to take Freya's son away from her despite it being done to stop her own death, it is felt that it would be unrealistic for either character to develop romantic feelings.
