Kang spends the entire movie trying to get out, and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and his family try to keep Kang trapped. In the final fight, Kang says that he knows how the multiverse ends and if he does not reach the surface world, something terrible will happen.
Kang isn't physically stronger than Thanos, and if the two were to square up in a one-vs-one fight then the Titan would arguably win. However, Kang's knowledge of the multiverse means that would quite literally be several steps ahead of Thanos at all times. As a result, Kang wins this battle.
And while he might be a little oozy pink blob of a being, if Veb sounds familiar it's because he's actually played by a long-time member of the Ant-Man films, David Dastmalchian.
The second end credits scene in Quantumania sees Loki and Mobius watching a Kang variant give a scientific lecture. While Loki and this variant do not interact, the fear in Loki's eyes, as well as the fact that he's brought Mobius into this situation, implies Loki is serious about stopping Kang and his variants.
While the alleged alternate ending for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania apparently involved Scott and Hope not making it out of the Quantum Realm and even Kang possibly escaping his interdimensional confinement, Chisholm says that was never an option, meaning Ant-Man 3 was intended to end the way it did all along.
Who are the three kings at the end of Quantumania?
As the camera pans up, the statues are revealed to be different versions of Kang. The scene then cuts to a room inside the arena, where three Kang variants - Immortus Kang, Pharaoh Rama-Tut and Scarlet Centurion - are discussing the death of Kang in the Quantum Realm.

Eventually, Captain America defeats Kang before Ravonna uses his time crystal to regress him to an infant. In the post-credits, an elderly Kang joins Ravonna, Cosmo the Spacedog, Man-Thing, and the Supreme Intelligence in warning Captain America, Captain Marvel, and Iron Man of a new threat.
