Approximately 80% of all human life on the planet was ended by the time the Rumbling was stopped prematurely by the combined efforts of the remnants of Paradis Island's Survey Corps and defectors from Marley's Warrior Unit.
After various difficulties, strategic plans, and devastating deaths, Eren Yeager was finally put to a stop mere days after he commenced the Rumbling. The death toll from Eren's attack, even though it was cut short, was in the millions, and resulted in the loss of 80% of the world's population.
That said, their sacrifices were not in vain — the Rumbling might have destroyed 80% of the living world, but everyone else survived because of a select group of heroes.
Armin survives the Rumbling just like Mikasa and is the one that takes credit for killing Eren. A flash forward three years after the battle shows that Armin has become an ambassador negotiating peace between Paradis and the outside world.
This is the scene in question in the Manga, which to me implies that Paradis only got around 80–100 years of peace before being obliterated by the rest of the world.
