Aladdin is an Arabic name, it didn't come from the movie. Adding on, Aladdin was a tale from China, the story still took place in Arabia though I believe. Disney likes to make movies out of old folk tales and such. Why doesn't Aladdin have a real Arabic name?
Jafar is a masculine Arabic name with the idyllic meanings “stream” and “creek.” Disney lovers who vibe with villains may adore Jafar's association with the sinister Grand Vizier of Agrabah and main antagonist of Aladdin.

Final Verdict. With everything we have to go off of, Aladdin is set in the 15th century in the Ottoman Empire. With Agrabah seemingly being in a desert, I initially set this movie in 1521 after the conquest of Cairo and the areas of Arabia that bordered the Red Sea.
4. When Jafar tries to manipulate the Sultan into letting him marry Jasmine, the Sultan makes a remark that Jafar is "so old". Granted, he is most likely younger than the Sultan, but old enough for it to be considered wrong for him to marry a fifteen-year-old girl. Again, no actual age is ever given.
Earlier, Aladdin and Jasmine flirt with each other and gaze at each other. Later, Aladdin and Jasmine kiss after the magic-carpet ride, then at the end of the film, they kiss again for several seconds and the scene changes to their wedding as the kiss continues a few seconds longer.
