Bonnie Anderson is a major character in the Disney•Pixar Toy Story franchise, first introduced in Toy Story 3. She is a young girl who becomes the owner of Woody, Buzz, and the rest of Andy's toys after Andy heads off for college.
The most recent example of this personal touch appears in Toy Story 4 . Voiced by actor Jay Hernandez (star of CBS's Magnum P.I.), Bonnie's Dad, father to the young girl who inherits the toys from Andy in the franchise's third installment, looks ethnically ambiguous, as does Bonnie herself.
However, Peter Docter, a Pixar director and one of the story writers of Toy Story 2, revealed that the theory is actually false (via ET Online). Docter explained that he does have a backstory for Jessie, but he's not willing to reveal what it is just yet.

Why does Andy not have a dad in Toy Story?
One theory suggests that Andy's dad died prior to Toy Story 1, after a childhood battle with polio. The theory traces back to a man named Mike Mozart, who revealed it on the Super Carlin Brothers YouTube channel in 2017. Mozart was a friend of Joe Ranft, who worked for Pixar, and has a story credit on Toy Story 1.
