Not for tweens! The trailer for this movie looks like a cross between Mean Girls and Groundhog Day. Since it's rated PG-13 I thought I'd be ok bringing two thirteen year olds to it. It is not a young teen movie!

It's sad how it ends, I mean even when I think about it I feel so bad. Helen Stevens Sam died at the beginning of the book. Then she had to live the repeat over and over till she could learn something from her death and put a few things right before she went. That's how I saw it anyway...
The film has a handful of worthy messages -- from anti-bullying to taking a moment to appreciate those around you -- that the teenagers in your life might appreciate. Before I Fall doesn't bring anything new to the genre, but for the teenagers who are going to see it, the message is clear, and a good one.
The movie deals with some intense issues, such as suicide and bullying. But Samantha is able to see how changing small things in a positive way can help the people in her life. She struggles to be honest with herself and figure out what kind of person she wants to be.
