The purest form of beskar was capable of repelling the strikes of a lightsaber for brief amounts of time, and could withstand direct blaster fire. Pure beskar could still be damaged by weapons also made out of beskar; because of this, making weapons out of beskar was considered illegal by the Children of the Watch.
Armor forged of beskar could withstand blunt force, strikes from a lightsaber, and repeated blasterfire, though the force of the impact still transferred in part to the wearer.
Throughout the Star Wars franchise, beskar is extremely blaster-resistant, though there are some exceptions to this. The Mandalorian and Death Watch warriors in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels are shown being killed by single blaster bolts, which penetrate their beskar armor.
Mandalorian armor forged from beskar can withstand blaster bolts, nearly impenetrable protection that made the warrior class difficult to defeat at the height of their power. After the fall of the Empire, the nearly indestructible steel is harder to come by.
Mandalorian beskar armor, while incredibly tough, has a major vulnerability - a gap between the helmet and the breastplate, which a skilled sniper like Aurra Sing can exploit (as shown in Star Wars: Revelations.)

Can the Darksaber melt Beskar?
The Darksaber was also capable of parrying a blow from a lightsaber, with the blades being drawn to each other in an almost magnetic pull. Like other typical lightsabers, the Darksaber could not cut through pure beskar, however, it was capable of heating it to the point of turning red.
A superweapon created by the Mandalorian Sabine Wren and used by the Galactic Empire, called the Arc Pulse Generator, was capable of superheating the metal to the point that it would burn everything it was protecting to a crisp, such as Mandalorian warriors encased within their beskar armor.
Boba Fett's armor was a suit of customized Mandalorian armor worn by Boba Fett, a human clone who became a bounty hunter. The armor was made from beskar. It consisted of a helmet, a cuirass, vambraces with retractable wrist blades, and a Z-6 jetpack.
It's unable to be affected by blaster bolts and even lightsaber strikes. However when a lightsaber is held up against beskar, the beskar begins to melt. But as the movies have established there's no limit to the power of the force.
Beskar is known to be able to withstand direct lightsaber hits. Lightsabers can withstand force lightning. So if beskar can withstand lightsabers, and lightsabers can withstand force lightning, then by the process of elimination, Boba's armor could probably withstand force lightning.
Notably, the Dagoyan Masters of Bardotta regarded the Jedi as thieves and kidnappers because of that practice. Some Mandalorians, most notably members of Death Watch, held a grudge against the Jedi for their perceived crimes against Mandalore during the Mandalorian-Jedi War.
The material can be easily shaped and melted into shapes, worked with heat and hammering. What's more, it can withstand blasters and lightsabers, so it's safe to assume that it's fireproof. So technically, beskar should contain an inorganic fiber that doesn't burn.
Pure Beskar is what keeps Din Djarin and so many other Mandalorians out of harm's way, but it wasn't always that way for the people of Mandalore. During much of the Clone Wars, many Mandalorians did not possess pure Beskar suits of armor, leaving them more vulnerable to blasters and lightsabers.
The plasma that comes from a lightsaber blade: Can cut through pretty much anything it touches. exceptions include Beskar, or Mandalorian iron, the strongest metal in the galaxy, as well as the scales of a Zillo beast.
Bo-Katan lost scores of loyal soldiers in Gideon's surprise attack, and now the Darksaber itself has been destroyed. Even if the Armorer could have repaired the hilt after it was crushed in Gideon's super-strong fist, we assume the massive explosion from the falling ship obliterated what was left.
The Darksaber may be a fearsome weapon, but it cannot cut through beskar, which is the most resilient metal in the Star Wars universe and also Mandalorian-made. It is currently unknown if the Darksaber hilt is imbued with beskar, which would make it even more mighty in the eyes of the Mandalorians.
Jango Fett's armor was partly made of durasteel, and General Grievous had some parts of his body made of this material. Darth Vader's armor was mostly made of durasteel, as was Boba Fett's before he upgraded during the Second Galactic Civil War to armor made of beskar.
In contrast, Din Djarin's armor was made from pure beskar, earned through the bounty on Grogu. This made Djarin's armor rare and even more durable than normal Mandalorian armor, allowing it to stay shiny and undamaged even when he walked into a barrage of blaster fire.
Beskar is a durable lightsaber resistant metal that can be used to build armor and weapons. It appears to be found only in Mandalorian space, particularly Mandalore. As a warrior culture, they value their armor and weapons.
Cortosis-weave armor was an armor which was resistant to lightsabers. It contained traces of cortosis, an ore prized for its ability to create an energy feedback loop which would temporarily shut down a lightsaber.
One of the most memorable moments involving a lightsaber is when it cuts through a thick metal door. The ability to melt through such materials suggests that the blade's temperature must be incredibly high, likely 20,000 to 25,000 degrees Celsius.
Yoda's age at death, a hasty 900 years old, reveals the absurd constancy of his species. This fantastic life span sheds ablaze on the mysteries of the Star Wars universe. His continued activity accustomed him to coach endless Jedi, including the allegorical Luke Skywalker.
