Last week, The Wrap reported that Dwayne Johnson interfered with the sequel by preventing the filmmakers from using Black Adam characters in its post-credits sequence — even though Black Adam and Shazam originated in the same series of comics.
In the film Black Adam, Teth-Adam receives the power of the Wizards after his son gifts them to him. His son Hirut was the Council's champion, and when he got killed in his mortal state, Teth-Adam grew enraged and violently slaughtered King Akh-ton and his forces.

Who is stronger, Black Adam or Shazam?
Shazam acknowledges that he is unsure if he is stronger than Black Adam, despite his confidence in his mortal form. Both Shazam and Black Adam possess the same strengths endowed by the Wizard and have never been able to triumph over each other.
Adam gains his powers from a council of wizards who empower him with abilities from the Egyptian pantheon of gods. Whenever Adam speaks the word "Shazam!" he is granted godlike powers including superhuman strength and durability, flight, and the ability to generate lightning.
Despite Black Adam's challenge, Superman's Kryptonian physiology ultimately makes him stronger, as confirmed in the issue. Fans eagerly anticipate a future showdown between Superman and Black Adam, with potential for an epic battle in various mediums.
But he does have some theories about why his superhero character won't be included in the DC Universe (or phase one of it, at least). In his eyes, his movie got caught up in a “vortex of new leadership.” After all, Johnson claims that he crunched the numbers.
Even though Superman is often considered the most powerful character in the DC Universe, Shazam definitely comes close, and he can even beat the Man of Steel. And with a massive power upgrade, there's no question that Shazam can meet Superman blow for blow—despite the upgrade's terrible side effects.
Black Adam also definitely takes place after The Suicide Squad, as revealed by Amanda Waller and Emilia Harcourt's appearances, and Teth-Adam even spends some time in suspended animation at a Task Force X black site. This would also place the movie after Aquaman, Shazam, Birds of Prey, and probably Peacemaker.
On their own, both these noble heroes are capable of beating incredible forces. But for all Shazam's power, he does not match Thor's experience in using the more arcane elements of his abilities.
When he is attacked by Black Adam and the Seven Deadly Sins, Billy shares his Shazam powers with his father, making him the prophesied seventh and final member of the Shazam Family. In superhero form, C.C. Batson wears a yellow/gold costume with red trim (an inverse of the colors of Billy's costume).
The Dwayne Johnson-led film was released in October 2022 to middling critical reception. The overblown action sequences, lack of a tight script, thin story, and poor character development meant that Black Adam was a disappointment for those excited to see the so-called shift in the hierarchy of the DCEU's power.
Not only is a Black Adam sequel not happening, but Henry Cavill's Superman return isn't either, as the role has been recast for Gunn's new vision. Johnson has said he's had meetings with current DC bosses to see if the character can ever appear in the future, but it doesn't feel like it'll happen any time soon.

When counting down the most powerful DC cosmic characters of all time, the number one has to be DC's version of God, known as The Presence. While there are numerous Gods in the DC pantheon, mostly from the Greek versions of Zeus and his offspring, the Presence is more powerful than them all.
Seeing as he would have lost against Thanos without the upgrade of his new weapons, it's clear who the victor would be in a confrontation between the Mad Titan and Adam. A battle between the god-tier Thanos and Black Adam would be insane, but in the end, Thanos would walk away victorious.
Being one of the most overpowered superheroes of all time, Sentry has more than enough power to defeat Black Adam in seconds. His powers are pretty much limitless and have been described as godlike. While Black Adam also has godlike power, his powers have their limits. Sentry's does not.
Weaknesses. Magical Vulnerability: Only significant magic can affect him. Lightning: Lightning attacks that cause damage and can cause Black Adam to revert back to Theo Adam.
Ultimately, pure strength and speed will win the fight of pantheons, with the gods-given power of Black Adam simply being too much for Thor. Black Adam has speed on the level of a Kryptonian or even the DCU's version of The Flash, which is simply too much for Asgard's former prince.
Captain Atom has proven in past battles that he is stronger than Superman and has better fighting skills. He can also weaponize red sun radiation, which can weaken Superman like Kryptonite and magic. His sometimes uncontrolled nature has earned him a reputation as one of the most dangerous DC heroes.
Even without the Mace, Wonder Woman is the superior fighter, and while Black Adam can defeat her in some scenarios, she is far more likely to win a one-on-one fight for the simple reason that her fighting skills and tactical mind are greater assets than Black Adam's unbridled brutality.
