This is the Cole MacGrath of the original timeline who sacrificed himself to defeat John White. Who,in this reality,was The Beast. Believed to be dead,Zeke prepared to bury Cole at sea until a lightning bolt of unparalleled energy struck his coffin and resurrected him.
Cole dies in the good ending. We see his body loaded into a coffin and Zeke takes it out to sea. But as the boat drifts off into the horizon and the screen starts to black out a bolt of lightning seemingly and ominously strikes the boat.
During this now-canonical ending, Cole defeats a powerful, destruction-crazed Conduit known as the Beast and then sets off a genetic bomb called the Ray Field Inhibitor (RFI), which not only kills Cole but destroys all the Conduit genes around the world, thereby ridding the world of the Conduit “plague.”
In terms of power and skill, Cole had Delsin outmatched. Throughout his career, Cole's fought Conduits who are several times stronger than himself, such as Alden Tate, a powerful telekenetic who created a monster created from the surrounding metal from the destroyed bridge they were on.
He obviously played a huge part of the inFamous universe, but no one in the game acknowledge him. Obviously he can't be in the game since he is dead, but at least mention him. They mention him in the DLC, and NPCS mention you saying your cole's legacy or something to that effect. At least on the good path.

How did Cole come back to life?
So if you're not already familiar, Cole is finally vanquished in season 5's “Centennial Charmed” episode. However, in “Seven Year Witch” (season 7), Cole reappears for the first time since his official death as a spirit or ghost eternally trapped in a “cosmic void between life and death”, otherwise known as limbo.
Cole's appearance in Infamous 2 doesn't deviate much from his design in the first Infamous; he still retains his chiseled face and bald head, but his clothing has changed so that he can adapt to the humid weather of the New Orleans-inspired city.
Cole MacGrath is the protagonist, anti-hero/anti-villain of inFamous, inFamous 2, and inFamous: Festival of Blood. However, because of the Karma system that is entirely based on what choices you make in the games (with the exception of Festival of Blood), Cole can be recognized as a Hero or Villain.
Earth: Cole commands the element of Earth, giving him great physical strength and durability. He can stand his ground to a supernatural degree and enemies frequently act as though they have hit a person-shaped brick wall when they bump into him.
The antagonist is Brooke Augustine (Christine Dunford), the director of the D.U.P. and a Conduit with power over Concrete. Her actions in the Akomish reservation drive Delsin to travel to Seattle, now under lockdown by D.U.P. forces.
Of the three games in the series, InFamous 2 saw the end of the Cole MacGrath era by following the good ending, as it saw Cole give up his own life to save humans with no powers.
First Light doesn't have alternative endings. From Infamous 2 to Second Son the canon ending is definitely the Good karma ending. Cole used the RFI to destroy the Beast and almost all Conduits along with it. Since the Good Karma ending was canon for I2 I think it is safe to say the same applies to the first game.
Another similarity to Trish is that Reggie is killed near the end of the game by the main antagonist (Augustine/Kessler), which augments the protagonist's grudge against them (Delsin/Cole). The only difference is that Cole can attempt to save Trish (Evil Karma) , while attempting to save Reggie cannot be done.
He also bears a resemblance to some of Cole's conceptual artwork from InFamous 2. Shortly after his first appearance, there was wide speculation on whether or not Delsin was Cole's brother or son. These rumors were later ruled out. He is the first inFamous character to have his age confirmed, as 24.
Delsin is a 24-year-old Native American from the Akomish Tribe. Believing that he is destined for greatness, Delsin's occupation as a street artist, and his uncontainable penchant for free expression, sets the perfect background for his standoff with the D.U.P.
Yang tells Cole he wanted to be immortal so he wouldn't be forgotten, but Cole assures Yang he'll be remembered as the creator of Airjitzu. Cole crosses through the rift and becomes a human once more, but the rift almost closes the moment he crosses through it, giving him a ghostly green scar on his face.
The Earth Punch (also known as lava arm) is a special Earth ability that Cole was able to unlock during the Day of the Departed. When active, Cole's hands will glow bright orange, his arms will have orange magma running up them, and, in the current version, his scar will reappear and glow orange.
Weaknesses: Can use water to electrify enemies but is also vulnerable to water that might drown him, can possibly negate this weakness with Cryokinesis and Pyrokinesis.
Though Cole eventually rids himself of his demonic nature and marries Phoebe in season four, he later returns to evil after he unwillingly becomes the new Source of All Evil. This causes the sisters to kill him towards the end of season four.
Belthazor was hired by the Triad to kill the Charmed Ones. However, during this time his human half, Cole, fell in love with Phoebe Halliwell and caused him to betray the Triad and seemingly kill them. He eventually turned good and began a relationship with Phoebe.
Some of Cole's clothing was changed to suit the new setting of the game. Eric Ladin was also brought in to replace Jason Cottle as the voice of Cole because Sucker Punch felt that they needed someone who could perform Cole's physical reactions as well as his voice with the use of their new motion capture technology.
Conduit Physiology: After Cole survive Ray Sphere explosion his Conduit gene was activate and that gave him superhuman powers. His signature power is his electrokinesis the ability to use electricity. Superhuman Physiology: As a Conduit, Cole gains superhuman strength.
Infamous is the first game in the series, released in 2009 to positive reviews. Set in 2009, the game introduces Cole MacGrath, a bike courier, who gained his electrical-based superpowers after surviving a large explosion in Empire City caused by the package he was carrying containing the Ray Sphere.
