In the opening scene of the Disney film Finding Nemo, we see Nemo's mother Coral die. Coral's death was massive tragedy for Marlin. Her death showed him that the outside is dangerous and that he could lose anyone at any time. He changed how he saw life and kept his son protected from the danger that it really was.
