Disney and 20th Century Studios confirmed the six actors making up the key cast for the upcoming horror film Alien: Romulus. Previously, it was confirmed Romulus would take place between the events of Alien and Aliens.
Alien: Romulus, from director Fede Álvarez, wrapped filming in July 2023, according to an Instagram post made by Álvarez. The movie features a brand-new cast of characters and marks the first Alien endeavor since the 2012 and 2017 prequels.
It's been more than three years since Disney announced they are developing an Alien TV series, and since the original announcement back in 2020, sporadic details about the show have trickled in.
That acquisition grants Disney ownership of notable film franchises such as Die Hard, Alien, Predator, Home Alone, The Omen, Planet of the Apes, and James Cameron's Avatar.
