As one of the Deathly Hallows, the Elder Wand is the most powerful in existence, allowing its owner to perform extraordinary magic. The fact that Dumbledore could hold his own against Grindelwald while he wielded a weaker wand shows the depth of his power.
Was Dumbledore powerful or was it just the Elder Wand?
He was extremely wise and stayed calm in most situations and has some great quotes about not giving up. The elder wand made him a bit fearful: “don't mess with him, he has the elder wand” and that made him the most powerful wizard in the world. Of course, while Professor Dumbledore's original wand beat the Elder Wand, there's no denying the latter wand is still the most powerful ever made. Only a couple of wizards ever lost when they had the wand in their possession and the wand is known as being unbeatable for a reason.
Merlin is the most powerful wizard recorded in the history of the wizarding world, even more so than Albus Dumbledore and definitely more powerful than Lord Voldemort. Merlin was intelligent and talented, and during his time at Hogwarts, he managed to decipher many of the secrets of the castle.
But Voldemort's killing curse rebounds, reflected by Harry's blood protection and the Elder Wand's allegiance to him, while Harry's Disarming charm wrenches the Elder Wand from Voldemort's hand to his. With all his Horcruxes destroyed, Voldemort dies instantly.

Albus Dumbledore is the most obvious person who can defeat Voldemort, outside of the Salazar Slytherin vs Voldemort debate, and the Dark Lord seemed to realize it. Rowling herself has explicitly stated in the books that Dumbledore is the only person Voldemort fears and recognizes as a genuine threat to his own power.

Between Voldemort and Grindelwald, Voldemort technically came out on top in this particular area. Perhaps one of the most significant ways Voldemort triumphed over Grindelwald is that he was the one who killed the other dark wizard in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Dumbledore has studied nearly every branch of magic in intimate detail, including obscure and unusual spells, and he could beat Harry with just one or two spells if they fought. If Dumbledore can take down Gellert Grindelwald and scare Voldemort, it's obvious Harry stands zero chance against him.
