Victor Frankenstein (voice of Charlie Tahan) is a very intelligent and creative young boy, who is passionate about making movies and inventing things. Victor is a loner and unpopular at school, and his only friend and companion is his pet dog Sparky (voice of Frank Welker).
Set in the 1960s, the film follows a boy named Victor Frankenstein who uses the power of electricity to resurrect his dead Bull Terrier, Sparky, but his peers discover what he has done and reanimate their own deceased pets and other creatures, resulting in mayhem.
The theory says that first is Frankenweenie, following Victor's childhood years and his relationship with his dog, and then comes Corpse Bride, with an older Victor whose dog has died (for good this time), though he reunites with him now as a skeleton.
