Jurassic World may have been originally imagined as a trilogy, but the franchise isn't extinct yet. A fourth film in the sequel series to Jurassic Park has been green-lit ahead of a summer 2025 release. It will be the seventh blockbuster in the franchise overall, and the first since 2022's Jurassic World: Dominion.
What Do We Know About Jurassic World 4 So Far? Plot details remain undisclosed for now. But Deadline reports the 2025 Jurassic World installment will take the franchise in a “completely fresh” direction without returning cast members Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, or original trilogy stars.

Is there more after Jurassic World Dominion?
Only a few weeks after the ambitious new project was announced, Universal provided a planned release date for Jurassic World 4 that suggests the film is moving quickly. The "new Jurassic era" is slated to begin on July 2nd, 2025, just a little over a year and a half after it was revealed.
On January 24, 2024, it was confirmed by Steve Brusatte himself that he would be returning as paleontology consultant for the film. On February 5, 2024, it was confirmed that David Leitch was in talks to direct Jurassic Park VII, and a slated release date of July 2nd, 2025, was also revealed.
Subsequent films in the series from Jurassic Park III (2001) onward are not based on novels by Crichton. In 2015, a second trilogy of films began with the fourth film in the series, Jurassic World.
