Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is more than the latest Marvel movie. It's a new chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ushering in new supervillain Kang in an era codenamed Phase 5.
Essentially, his mission was to become the only Kang in the multiverse - under the pretense of saving the multiverse from his other selves - a version he will forge himself as he sees fit.
Kang the Conqueror has been described as one of Marvel's most notable and powerful villains. Kang has made media appearances in animated television and video games.
Kang's attempt to escape through a portal to the surface world is thwarted by Evangeline Lilly's Wasp, heroically coming to the rescue. Together, the size-changing couplet push Kang into his volatile engine, and he is pulled into oblivion, seemingly killing him.

Why did Kang lose to Ant-Man?
Kang managed to survive the attack of ants and furiously attack Ant-Man, right after his allies managed to get out of the Quantum Realm through the portal. Having his armor heavily damaged, Kang immediately rushed toward the portal in an attempt to gain his freedom, only to be knocked away by Ant-Man.
Kang isn't physically stronger than Thanos, and if the two were to square up in a one-vs-one fight then the Titan would arguably win. However, Kang's knowledge of the multiverse means that would quite literally be several steps ahead of Thanos at all times. As a result, Kang wins this battle.
Ant-Man has already shown the ability to sabotage technologically-advanced suits like he did with Falcon and Iron Man in previous movies. This could be a key advantage in defeating Kang. However, disabling Kang's suit may not be easy as he is a more dangerous opponent than Falcon and Iron Man.
Kang was a villain that surpassed the rules of time and space and was a conqueror of all worlds thanks to his advanced technology. For Kang, his mission was to visit many points in time and conquer them in hopes of amassing an army built over ages to take over the world.
Kang the Conqueror did not appear in the Loki series. This episode did feature a character named He Who Remains, who is a variant of Kang but still a different character. According to the show's director, Kate Herron, He Who Remains is in the comics, but the version in our show was very different.
Kang the Conqueror sparked the war among all of his alternate selves throughout the Multiverse, which resulted in more and more of Kangs also waging war on each other, seeking to annihilate other realities to save their own from a ruthless conquest.
Like others from his native era, Kang ages at a slightly slower rate than modern humanity and is more resistant to the effects of radiation; though, he can be harmed by concentrated doses. He is an expert in time travel and the manipulation of time, and has mastered his future's advanced technology.
By far, Loki is now the strongest MCU character. It was shown in season 1 of Loki that Timelines=the universe. Loki held infinity of them with his strength.
Through unknown means, Kang killed countless versions of the Avengers, including a variant of Thor. Given that he has technology that destroyed entire planets and timelines, it's really no surprise.
So, Loki is right to be afraid of him because this variant is clearly trying to hide in plain sight. Whatever the Council of Kangs is planning could be coming through him as he could be the new leader of the TVA. Following his trail, Loki must have reached the city of Timely, Wisconsin.
Much later, in Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars, the Merc-With-A-Mouth was retconned onto Battleworld, despite the fact he was created in 1991, six years too late for the original event. Deadpool ambushed the Conquerer when the villain was fighting Captain America, easily taking him out with a shot to the groin.
Given the involvement of time-travel, Thanos and Eros recruit the help of Kang, and Thanos ensures that he's put in his place immediately. The Mad Titan makes it abundantly clear that Kang is to refer to him as 'Lord Thanos', and Kang obeys.
The fact that Thor has been able to hold his own against previous villains such as an Infinity Stone-equipped Malekith, Hela, the Goddess of Death, and the Mad Titan, Thanos, perhaps suggests that Thor would be an even match for Kang the Conqueror.
Thanos Feared an Attack From Odin and He Might Have Been Planning One. However, it's possible that Odin kept his kids in the dark because he was preparing to take on Thanos all along.
