Killer Frost eventually died after she absorbed too much energy from Firestorm. She has been identified as one of the deceased villains entombed below the Hall of Justice. Her body was reanimated as a Black Lantern.

Who is the new Killer Frost?
Creators. Caitlin Snow is Frost (formerly Killer Frost), a scientist with cryogenic powers. Though she started out as a villain, she has since reformed, and even joined the Justice League of America.
Caitlin Snow is a scientist at S.T.A.R. Labs and a member of Team Flash. She developed cryogenic powers and a alternate personality after her father used cryogenic research to freeze the progression of her ALS disease. After the Flashpoint, her persona Killer Frost emerged and become an enforcer for Savitar.
The character Barry Frost was written off from Rizzoli and Isles due to the tragic circumstances surrounding actor Lee Thompson Young. In 2013, Young was found dead in his Los Angeles apartment from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He had been battling bipolar disorder and depression.
Frost died to stop Deathstorm. Caitlyn died for nothing off screen. In the real world, senseless death occurs all too often. The Flash, with its speedsters and metahumans and telepathic gorillas, is not the real world nor should it be.
