While 'Logan' was first and foremost a great send-off for both Jackman and his fellow 'X-Men' series veteran Sir Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, director James Mangold's film was also a fantastic introduction for young newcomer Keen as Laura, AKA X-23, a genetically engineered mutant clone of Wolverine.
Logan Doesn't Mind Laura Being As Strong (or Stronger) As Him. However, if nothing else, there is no denying that Laura most definitely is just as strong as Logan.

Is Logan 2 happening?
As of now, Logan 2 is not part of Marvel Studios' active development, dispelling any notions of a 2024 release. However, Hugh Jackman's return to the MCU is confirmed through Marvel Studios' Deadpool 3.
Her origin is altered slightly for the film, specifically, in the comics she was born on the Canadian-American border from Sarah Kinney while in the movie she has an unnamed mother, and was born in Mexico instead. While typically depicted as Caucasian in the primary Marvel universe, Laura is Hispanic in the film.

Henry Cavill is not confirmed to replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in the MCU. Currently, only Hugh Jackman is confirmed to play Logan in Deadpool & Wolverine. That being said, there have been other hints suggesting that Daniel Radcliffe could be the Patch variant of Wolverine in it.
In Laura's case, she was created using Logan's DNA, making her his "daughter." She also has the same powers but has two claws on her hands and one on each of her feet. But why is her mutation different than Logan's? Since his powers first manifested, Logan's claws have always been on his hands.
Laura seems like she may be mute — perhaps she is too damaged by a childhood in which she was trained to be a weapon. But she actually just doesn't trust anyone yet (and the one person she did, Professor X, doesn't make it to the end of the film).
He doesn't let regret stop him from doing what needs to be done or pause long enough to lose a fight. For Laura, on the other hand, guilt proves to be her biggest weakness here.
Summary. Adamantium poisoning caused Wolverine's healing power to fail in Logan, leading to his tragic demise. The theme of government experimentation and toxic substances adds weight to Wolverine's struggles in the film.

"There are no more guns in the valley" is an emotional scene in Logan, with the dual purpose of Laura saying goodbye to her father and fans saying goodbye to Hugh Jackman's Wolverine.
The project that created Laura Kinney's Wolverine only had limited resources. Adamantium is a precious metal, and they chose not to coat every one of her bones with adamantium; instead, they simply coated her claws.
