The films follow the friendship of a group of young ornithodirans (four dinosaurs and a pterosaur) named Littlefoot (a male Apatosaurus), Cera (a female Triceratops), Ducky (a female Saurolophus), Petrie (a male Pteranodon), and Spike (a male Stegosaurus).
Ducky. Ducky, voiced by Judith Barsi (I), Heather Hogan (II-IV) and Aria Noelle Curzon (V-XIV), is a green female Saurolophus, known colloquially as a "Big Mouth", "Duck Bill" or "Swimmer".
During the production of the movie The Land Before Time, the character of Cera started out as a male Triceratops named "Bambo". As the character was in mid-animation, George Lucas made the suggestion to change him to a female named "Cera".

Littlefoot is called a Brontosaurus on the original video cover for the first film, and then on the clamshell case he is called a Brachiosaurus. He was also called a Brachiosaurus at Rotten Tomatoes.com and at Movies.com. In the media, Littlefoot is alternatively referred to as an Apatosaurus and a Brontosaurus.
That night, as Littlefoot follows a "Hopper", he encounters Cera again, and they play together briefly until a large "Sharptooth" attacks them. Littlefoot's mother comes to their rescue, receiving fatal injuries in the process. An earthquake swallows up the Sharptooth and divides Littlefoot and Cera from their herds.
Cera is friends with the other six main characters in the films and TV series, Littlefoot, Ducky, Petrie, Spike, Chomper, and Ruby, although her strongest friendships appear to be with Littlefoot and Ducky.
When he was grown up into a teenager, he was sent back to the Great Valley by his father, Bron, and his grandparents to lead his friends as his own herd. After things changes, he gets upset and mad for being to little when he tried so hard to reach things bigger and higher than him.

She is an Oviraptor, which is called a "Fast Runner" in the series. The first movie she has appeared in is The Land Before Time XIV: Journey of the Brave. She has been listed in seventh place of the main characters in the franchise after Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Spike, and Chomper ever since.
It is the first Land Before Time movie to be set in modern day, combining live-action (humans & world) and traditional hand-drawn 2D animation (dinosaur characters). A teaser has not been released yet for TBA. The film is to be released in Fall of 2022.

Judith Barsi was a rising star in the 80s, appearing in a string of hits including Cheers, Jaws, The Land Before Time and All Dogs Go To Heaven. But the pint-sized child actor's young life was tragically cut short – at the hands of her own father – before she had the chance to become a household name.
