Loki Laufeyson (also known as Loki Odinson) is the adoptive brother of Hela, Thor, and Sigrid, and adopted son of Odin and Frigga and biological son and only child of Laufey.
Although they are commonly represented as brothers in modern literature and representations, traditionally they were not considered brothers. Loki became blood brothers with Odin, Thor's father, after they participated in a blood-sharing ritual. Loki is thus Thor's adopted uncle, not his adopted brother.
Loki is Thor's adopted brother and the Asgardian god of mischief. In his younger years, he and Loki were very close and good friends, even if occasionally irritated by Loki's mischief. However, it is later revealed that Loki was often jealous of Thor even back then, and resented being left in his "shadow".
In modern literature (such as Marvel Comics) it has become popular to portray Loki as the adopted son of Odin. This however has no basis in Norse mythology, where Loki is portrayed as the blood brother of Odin.
Ages ago, Odin fought and defeated Laufey and the Frost Giants of Jotunheim in a great war. Abandoned and left for dead as a baby due to his diminutive size, Odin took Loki, son of Laufey, to Asgard to raise him as his son and a prince in order to one day unite the Frost Giants and the Asgards in peace.

Who was Odin to Loki?
Some sources characterize Loki as the son of two giants, who abandoned him in battle with Odin, one of the leading gods in Norse mythology. Other sources indicate that Odin and Loki became blood brothers and undertook adventures with Thor, who also figures prominently in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It was explained in “Thor” why he adopted Loki as a son. (SPOILERS from “Thor: Ragnarok” are below, so read at your own risk!) Loki was a helpless baby left to die in the cold, harsh environment of Jötunheim. Odin took pity on him and rescued him.
Atreus and Loki have always been one in the same character in God of War, but the name has far less significance to both Kratos and Atreus than it does to the audience. Loki, as it was revealed, was the name that Kratos' wife, Faye, wanted to give Atreus when he was born.

Balder Odinson—better known as Balder the Brave—was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and first appeared in October 1962's Journey into Mystery #85. As a son of Odin, Balder is a half-brother of both Thor and Loki.
The majority of storylines surrounding Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe had to do with his father issues. He was always insecure over how Odin didn't love him as much as he did Thor, with this eventually morphing into contempt for his father.
Loki reveals that Balder is the son of Odin and Frigga and the half-brother of Thor, meaning he is then made a prince of Asgard. When Thor is forced to kill his reborn grandfather, Bor, Loki coerces Balder - now a royal prince - into exiling the Thunder God. Balder then assumes the throne of Asgard.

At the end of Thor, Loki knows the truth, and Frigga knows that Loki knows, but at no point does Thor find out the whole truth. In The Avengers, Thor says "He is adopted," so he must have learned the truth sometime between the events depicted onscreen.
Kratos is the son of Zeus, (who was) Ruler of Olympus. Thor is the son of Odin, (who is) Ruler of Asgard. Both were born as demigods (by this I mean genetically 1/2 god).

Loki shapeshifted and turned himself into an alluring female horse to draw Svaðilfari away from helping the master builder complete Asgard's fortifications. When they were together, Loki and Svaðilfari mated. Loki subsequently became pregnant and gave birth to Sleipnir.
Oddly enough, it was here when Odin chose to forgive him when he saw Loki before his death. At this point, Odin even praised Loki for using an effective enchantment on him. Odin didn't bring up any of the bad blood between them from Thor: The Dark World, nor did he have any anger toward Loki.
The character Loki was first introduced in Timely Comics - which later became Marvel - in 1949 in Venus #6. Loki's greatest weakness is water and his spells do not work in water.
Odin is basically Thor and all the other Asgardians rolled into one—though he's even wiser, more experienced, and minus one eye. As the default King of Asgard, Odin is easily the most powerful being in his realm.
During this, Odin will ride to fight Fenrisúlfr. During the battle, Fenrisúlfr will eventually swallow Odin, killing him, and Odin's son Víðarr will move forward and kick one foot into the lower jaw of the wolf. This foot will bear a legendary shoe "for which the material has been collected throughout all time".
