I understand that some kids are more sensitive to other things and that's why common sense made the little things seem big. I said 12+ but really it doesn't matter. If you think you or your kid are mature enough to handle swearing or violence then I say go for it.
M3GAN is a horror, sci-fi movie that shows what could happen if we let Artificial Intelligence take over. The film is very violent and scary and it is therefore not suitable for children aged under 15 years and parental guidance is recommended for children aged 15 years.
While the blood and swearing flow in any Chucky movie, M3GAN was hindered a bit by its PG-13 boundaries. The decision to not go for a hard R rating is understandable. M3GAN is meant to be more of a fun horror comedy directed at teens.

It's now been revealed that the film, which is PG-13 in the US , was originally designed to be more graphic, but had some gory content erased in an attempt to lure in a younger audience – a tactic that has paid off.
With that said, there are still some horror fans who would've preferred to see M3GAN in all of its R-rated glory before the cuts trimmed it down to a PG-13 rating. Akela Cooper, who co-wrote the script based on a story co-written with Wan, also falls into this category.

Great film, but not for kids under 13. I recommend this film to everyone who loves slightly disturbing films and TV shows like me but for anyone under the age of 13 you really should not watch it. It's very gory and contains adult language.
Although “M3GAN” is virtually scare-free in the traditional horror sense, the film's many M3GAN-less Gemma-Cady scenes quietly disturb as they underscore Gemma's inability to comfort her niece. McGraw plays these scenes truthfully, her demeanor downcast except when Gemma's with her robot pal.

The unrated version of M3GAN has previously unreleased footage, according to Peacock's website. According to The Wrap, Megan: Unrated doesn't have major plot changes or additions, but there is more profanity and gore.
First, it's worth noting that the maker of Stranger Things, Netflix, has rated it TV-14. That means they don't think it's appropriate for anyone under 14 to watch it. Of course, not all 14-year-olds are the same. At 14 years old, I watched things much more gruesome (I became a wimp later in life).
Aside from much more gore, M3GAN Unrated has a lot more explicit language, particularly from certain angry characters like Gemma's boss David (Ronny Chieng) and Brandon the bully at Cady's camp (Jack Cassidy), and even M3GAN has one F-bomb towards the movie's big climax.

M3GAN is not just comedy and horror in one, led by an AI doll that provides extreme loyalty and care for her assigned companion, but it also tackles darker and more serious issues, from the different stages of grief to the shadiness of capitalism, and that alone is worth the praise the movie is getting.
