The animation is beautiful and it has quite a bit of humor to appeal to kids. Jane is also a good role model and fights her way along with Tarzan rather than sitting and waiting to be rescued. Overall I would recommend this as a fun movie but if you have sensitive or younger children I would avoid it.
Tarzan is a U rated film so suitable for all the family. It's an animated film that sometimes is happy and sometimes is very sad and emotional. To sum this film up in three words I would say it is adventurous, funny and romantic.
VIOLENCE/GORE 4 - A leopard chases a baby gorilla and then -- it is implied but not seen -- she eats it. The same leopard chases a human baby (with a similar nutritional intent in mind) during an extended scene, wounds a large gorilla, and eventually fights Tarzan who's armed with a spear.
