To complete the main story quest titled “The Polyjuice Plot” in Hogwarts Legacy, you'll need to know what the Black family motto is. Since you're using the Polyjuice Potion to stand in as Professor Black, headmaster at Hogwarts, you'll be expected to know the motto.
In the late 1800s, less than 0,05% of the population was black. In that regards, Hogwarts Legacy has an overpopulation of black people if even one of them is black. I haven't played the game yet, but there are more black characters in it than just the one. There is also at least one black teacher.

Is Harry related to the Black family?
The female line of the House of Black, however, continues through Harry's children, James Sirius Potter, Albus Severus Potter and Lily Luna Potter, whose maternal great-grandmother is Cedrella Weasley née Black, also making Harry related to the House of Black via marriage.
While no Malfoy can yet be expected in the game, the Black family's views on blood supremacy make them close Malfoy allies and the next best thing narratively. With some characters still unknown and the timing working so that player could run into a young Albus Dumbledore, players could expect some familiar encounters.
Of course, since Hogwarts Legacy precedes the main series by about one hundred years, Tom Riddle has yet to be born during the game's events. This same sentiment applies to most Harry Potter characters, with the single exception being Albus Dumbledore.
