The hit new adaptation of Stephen King's It broke a slew of box office records over the weekend, notably scoring the biggest opening weekend for an R-rated horror film ever. But for all the ways It is definitely an R-rated horror film, it contains surprisingly little blood — with one major exception.
It Chapter Two star Jessica Chastain has claimed that the horror sequel used a record amount of fake blood during filming. Speaking at a Comic-Con panel for the new film in San Diego, the actor revealed that a total of “4,500 gallons” of fake blood was used on set.

Why can't adults see Pennywise?
They reach the conclusion that Pennywise has all of the adults under some sort of spell that prohibits them from seeing him. The adults of Derry are shown to be villainous in their own right as well. The adults of Derry are shown to be true villains of the story in the same way as Pennywise.

The creature's real body is composed of the “deadlights” or glowing orbs that overwhelm the mind of anyone who sees them. The deadlights made a cameo in 2017's “It” when Beverly looked into Pennywise's open mouth and saw three, small white lights deep inside her throat.
Parents need to know that It Chapter Two is the follow-up to the hugely successful It (2017); both films are based on Stephen King's novel. This one -- which is more centered on adults than kids -- is very long and less scary than the first, but it's definitely entertaining, with great characters and true teamwork.
The violence involves small children and often horrifying crimes. One very very brief shot of gore, the scene is very quick. A man fights another man and his face is broken and bloody, he later gets thrown into the river. Eddie crashes his car at the beginning of the film.
Considering that it's R-rated, IT Chapter Two doesn't hold back with the blood and how Pennywise devours his victims, which itself may be quite disturbing for some viewers.
