In addition to the violent scenes mentioned above, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has some scenes that could scare or disturb children under 5 years. For example: There are many scary and fierce characters, including Queen Ramonda, Okoya and Namor. The underwater scenes are murky and dark.
I'm baffled by reviewers who rate this as only appropriate for those aged 12 and up. There's punching and kicking, there's spear-chucking and shock wave blasting, and there are apparent deaths from said physical conflict—but all of it is very cartoon-like.

In addition to the violent scenes and scary visual images mentioned above, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has some scenes that could scare or disturb children aged 5-8 years. For example: Characters use knives that give out electric shocks.
"Black Panther" is rated PG-13; Common Sense Media recommends it for ages 12 and above. It's an action film with limited gore (I don't believe I saw blood once) but there are plenty of explosions, gunfire and, in a couple scenes, death.
The ending fight between Namor and Black Panther includes the most violence in the movie. Blood, stabbing and tearing of skin are present. The last act of the movie contains an intense battle scene with no blood. But a lot of people are injured or dies.
"Wakanda Forever" is MCU's 30-th movie and is phenomenal! The most powerful project of Phase 4. I can not understate how masterful the score is from start to finish. There are no weak links in the cast, but I have to give a special shoutout to Angela Basset and Letitia Wright's Shuri.

Despite being produced as a testament to the legacy of Chadwick Boseman, the film ultimately fails on all accounts. With a budget of $250 million, and being in production for several years, the film follows the aftermath of Boseman's former character, T'Challa's death.
The violence in Black Panther is slightly more intense and realistic than other MCU films. Characters are impaled and slashed with spears and swords, the blood and wounds not always focused on by the camera.
Why is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever a good movie?
I won't go into spoilers, but the movie starts with an emotional bang. Wakanda Forever builds on the great fondation that was established in the first Black Panther, a visual feast with breathtaking production design, fantastic costumes and impressive action sequences.
PG-13: Parents Strongly Cautioned, Some Material May Be Inappropriate for Children Under 13. This rating is a stronger caution for parents that content included may not be appropriate for children under 13 (pre-teen ages). This may include stronger language, extended violence or sexual situations and drug-use.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is aimed at older kids and teens. It's not suitable for children under 11 years and parental guidance is recommended for children aged 11-13 years. The main messages from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania are to 'look out for the little guy', and to work together for the common good.
Shuri of course uses the herb herself to become the next Black Panther, but after Wakanda and Talokan call a truce, she plants her samples of the heart-shaped herb so that a new hero can take on the Black Panther title when her time is concluded.
Aftermath. T'Challa was officially crowned King of Wakanda and was taken to a ritual to consume the Heart-Shaped Herb in order to regain the powers of the Black Panther and meet his father in the Ancestral Plane.
