In Godzilla: Final Wars, Zilla is one of the monsters controlled by the Xiliens, and under their control he attacks Sydney, Australia. The towering reptile topples down buildings, chomps on vehicles, incinerates a crowd with his acidic flame breath, and even eats a couple of civilians.
The Gotengo then guides Godzilla into a series of battles with the other monsters: Godzilla defeats Zilla, Kumonga, Kamacuras, Rodan, King Caesar, Anguirus, Ebirah, and Hedorah, before the Gotengo leads Godzilla into Tokyo to engage the Xiliens.
Zilla is defeated rather quickly by Godzilla himself, who sends him flying into the Sydney Opera House and finishes him off with his powerful atomic breath.

Godzilla was nearly killed when Monster X transformed into Keizer Ghidorah, but the Gotengo imbued him with energy which allowed him to triumph over his extraterrestrial foe. Zilla's name is derived from that of Godzilla, with the "God" part removed. According to Godzilla Final Wars producer Shogo Tomiyama, this name was chosen because the TriStar Godzilla "took the 'God' out of 'Godzilla'," elaborating that "Hollywood's Godzilla is just a normal monster.
But the movie repeatedly refers to him as a he even after the pregnancy is revealed. Hell, Matthew Broderick's character even insists briefly that he is in fact a he in the scene where the pregnancy is revealed, implying that Zilla is actually a male, but is capable of reproducing asexually.
