Elsa (Idina Menzel) demonstrates traits of paranoid personality disorder. She is definitely guarded and suspicious. She is so scared her powers will hurt someone again that she closes herself off. Also, she does not want to strike others with “fear”; Elsa wants to be accepted, not chased away.
We learn early on that Elsa is born with the extraordinary powers of shooting snow/ice from her hands (and feet at times). Initially she is tickled by her uniqueness and seems very happy. It isn't until an unfortunate accident and very harsh explanation that she beings to worry and develop anxiety.
Anna wasn't under all the pressure Elsa was, so she remained positive and Elsa grew to become anxious and somewhat depressed. During the coronation party, Elsa admits she wishes it could be like that forever, showing that she actually wants to be with her sister, but then she remembers her powers and realises it can't.

There's an air of playfulness and adventure surrounding both of them, but that's abruptly cut short when Elsa accidentally hurts Anna with her power one night. The near-fatal injury is one that Anna appears to quickly get over -- but Elsa is never the same afterward.

Elsa, however, is risk-averse, anxious, and self-doubting. This is her biggest test. She must accept her crown and scepter with ungloved hands. Should she slip up or let her emotions overwhelm her, she may let the magic out, revealing who she really is.
The film covers deep and heavy topics unknown to Disney princess films. The first Frozen broke the Disney formula by sharing “true love” doesn't need to be romantic. The second film addresses loss, grief, depression, and how to find hope and personal growth through life's uncertainties.
With only a fruitcake, Olaf journeys into the woods, and is attacked by vicious wolves while traversing through. He narrowly escapes them, but loses the fruitcake shortly thereafter to a hawk.
