Violence & Scariness. Very scary stuff; children are in constant peril, with a flat-out terrifying clown who threatens the main characters. Lots of bullying, including a scene in which a teenager carves a child's stomach with a knife, and another stabs a man in a very bloody scene.
IT: Chapter 2 is labeled a horror movie so yes it could be too scary for a child but it depends on the child. Are IT and IT Chapter Two good starter horror movies for my kids (13 and 15 years old)? Yes. It's Stephen King after all.

So it seem like she definitely did her homework on this one, and made something that if nothing else, “Feels” authentically Goth, even if the song she was dancing too strictly speaking isn't fully Goth.
It: Chapter Two is one of the bloodiest horror movies ever, utilizing a record-breaking 5,000 gallons of fake blood in a single scene. The bathroom stall scene in the movie is more than just a gory spectacle; it represents Beverly's transition into womanhood and her past trauma.
The main reason that Art the Clown beats Pennywise when it comes to scare factor is the simplicity of his modus operandi. Without a word (and usually without betraying emotions other than sadistic glee, unless he's seriously hurt), Art the Clown just tortures, maims, and murders for no discernible reason.
At the end of the day though, which is better is up to preferences. The original, while cheesy in some aspects, has the whole story. It shows the Losers club start the story and finish it, while the remake only covers half of it. But, the remake is way scarier than the original one.
But if you haven't heard, the Motion Picture Association actually gave Barbie, Ken, and the gang a PG-13 rating! It never once crossed my mind that perhaps Barbie might be inappropriate for my 8-year-old daughter.
However, if the theater sold you a ticket to an R-rated movie, even though you're under 17 and not accompanied by an adult, then you have a right to be there. If you are removed, the theater will likely have to refund your ticket.
