When he was a boy, he went to a summer camp "Camp Crystal Lake" where he was bullied because of his appearance. He had a deformed face and body. They threw him into the lake and he drowned. It was later discovered he survived and became a killer after a teenager killed his mother, Pamela Voorhees.
She stated, "[Jason] was a deformed child who almost drowned and then spent the rest of his childhood growing up alone in the woods. He saw his mother get murdered by a camp counselor in the first Friday the 13th, and so now he exacts his revenge on anyone who returns to Camp Crystal Lake.
His mother thought he drowned in Crystal Lake at age 11. Jason survived and became a hermit, living in the woods and feeding off plants, bugs and animals. (Some claim he did drown but came back to life to avenge his mother's death). He grew to be a large, deformed and uneducated man who never said a word.
Aeson's wife Alcimede I had a newborn son named Jason, whom she saved from Pelias by having female attendants cluster around the infant and cry as if he were stillborn. Fearing that Pelias would eventually notice and kill her son, Alcimede sent him away to be reared by the centaur Chiron.
Likewise, director Tom McLoughlin chose not to have Jason harm any of the children he encounters in Jason Lives, stating that Jason would not kill a child, out of a sympathy for the plight of children generated by his own death as a child.
Jason is notably furious when the deception is revealed. Pamela (played by Nana Visitor) has a minor presence in the 2009 Friday the 13th reboot. The opening scene shows her chasing a young girl, presumably Alice, at the end of her Camp Crystal Lake killing spree, who ultimately decapitates Pamela with her own machete.
The "ch ch ch ah ah ah" also conveys the idea that Pamela is actually hearing Jason's voice in her head as she's killing victims. Like the shark theme in Jaws, this whispering let audiences know that Friday The 13th's killer is actually around, even though they can't be seen.
The Child's Play franchise is known for its brutal, high kill counts. Racking up the kills together from all seven movies, Chucky has killed a total of 67 people. For Chucky being a pint-sized killer doll, he has enough expertise and weapons to kill more people in Chucky season 2.
As an adult, he never speaks, though perhaps this is because we've never witnessed interactions with someone he trusts. The reason it's a “maybe” check is because selective mutism can also be a response to trauma, which Jason most certainly experienced after witnessing the death of his mother.
Pamela later took a job as a cook at Camp Crystal Lake, where the other campers would frequently bully Jason because of his deformity. Jason supposedly drowned when his bullies pushed him into Crystal Lake. The bullies ran off after realizing their actions.
Composer Harry Manfredini has said the famous "Chi, chi, chi; ha, ha, ha" in the film's score is actually "Ki, k,i ki; ma, ma, ma." It is meant to resemble Jason's voice saying "Kill, kill, kill; mom, mom, mom." So if they Composer doesnt know what he writing who else?
Pamela may not have consistently beaten her son, but the mental abuse she inflicted on Jason was evident through his actions and reactions in the franchise. Even sadder was that he had no idea he had an unhealthy childhood because he never met anyone that wanted to help him or be his friend.

While Michael has proven time and again that he can survive nearly anything, he doesn't stand a chance against Jason. Jason's immense strength and ability to keep killing no matter the circumstances show that he can withstand a full-on assault from Michael.

Why is Jason afraid of water? Back in 1957, when Jason was 11 years old, he supposedly drowned at Camp Crystal Lake. Later in the film, during Jason's nightmare in the dream world, Freddy was deep inside Jason's subconscious, and that is the only place where Jason actually has a fear of water.

Apparently, after Jason's initial death from drowning, his mother found a book that could resurrect him. Thus, when he came back, he had otherworldly, super-powered abilities.
In the end, his left, normal eye is destroyed by Tommy when he slams a machete into the side of his head, and would be absent from future sequels until Jason X. While his mask remains the same as before, it is much more worn and damaged, with the bloody axe cut on the top left.
Chucky is a horror series based on the Child's Play movies. The show follows Chucky (voiced by Brad Dourif), a serial killer whose soul was transferred into a doll. Season 3, Part 2 opens with Chucky dying of old age after being forsaken by his deity, the evil Dambala.
