The ending of the film Titanic has been debated for many years. Some believe that older Rose dies in her sleep, while others think she was just dreaming. There is no definitive answer, but either interpretation makes for a powerful conclusion to the story.
Rose's Dress At The End of Titanic Confirms She's In Heaven
In the final scene of Titanic, as the camera enters the first-class section with Rose, she's welcomed by all the passengers who died in the sinking of the Titanic, and there's no social-class distinction this time.
Titanic ends with Rose dropping the diamond into the ocean and then going to sleep, which is largely interpreted as her death. After the camera pans over her sleeping peacefully, Rose is transported back into the Titanic with Jack and everyone who died on the ship.
When Rose walks out to the edge of the Brock's ship in the actual finale of the film, she's carrying a life well lived — and a romance that never died. Releasing the necklace untethers her from reality, and she's able to drift into her memories of the Titanic, an ill-fated boat, and Jack, an unforgettable dreamboat.
If I recall correctly her child was on board with old Rose and I think it was implied that this child was Rose and Jack's child. At the end of the film Rose has died and the hallucination shows Rose and Jack reunited forever in the afterlife with the approval of everyone who died on board Titanic.
This means that if Jack was dead when Rose pushed him under water, then he would have immediately floated back to the surface. But if he was unconscious, he would have breathed water into lungs and eventually sink, which is the case. This shows that Jack was in Stage 3, unconscious, and very much alive.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Cameron was asked directly, "Why doesn't Rose make room for Jack on the door?" To which he replied, "And the answer is very simple because it says on page 147 [of the script] that Jack dies.
Although Rose changed her name to “Dawson” to honor Jack, used this name during her acting career, and ultimately revealed she never got over Jack, she moved on and got married at some point in her life.
Of course, they fall in love anyway. And when the Titanic hits an iceberg and sinks to the bottom of the ocean, Jack performs one final act of love: He helps Rose onto a floating wooden board—and remains in the freezing water beside her. Rose makes it. Jack doesn't.
The Titanic Heaven scene is the final scene of the Titanic film. This scene shows the old 100 year old Rose DeWitt Bukater dying, showing her on the Titanic and reuniting with Jack Dawson and all the people who perished on the ship.
The film's alternate ending (which is also available to view on YouTube) is set up the same way. This takes place directly after Brock Lovett (Bill Paxton) and Lizzy Calvert (Suzy Amis), Rose's (Gloria Stuart) granddaughter, are talking on the research vessel once Rose has ended her recount of events.

The RMS Titanic's final resting spot is approximately 370 miles off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada in the North Atlantic Ocean. It sank in 1912, killing approximately 1,500 people on board. Its coordinates are 41º43'32”N, 49º56'49”W.
Did Rose really throw the diamond in the ocean in real life?
The answer is no, just like the romance between Rose and Jack, the Heart of the Sea was a jewel created for the movie, but that does not mean that it is not inspired by jewels that are real and have a lot of history behind them.
In the final scene of the movie, Rose, who has lived a long and fulfilling life, returns to the site of the wreck and drops the diamond into the ocean, symbolically letting go of the materialistic values that had constrained her earlier in life and embracing the memories of the love and experiences that had shaped her.
Rose DeWitt Bukater is a fictional character from the film Titanic (1997). She is not a representation of, nor is she based on any past or present living person. As such she could not have children as she never existed. In the context of the film - she has a grand-daughter who accompanies here to the salvage ship.

The real Rose from Titanic, Beatrice Wood, led a fascinating life that features more than a few similarities to Rose. Like Rose, Beatrice was born into a privileged family which she rejected as a young adult, leaving her home and pursuing a more independent life.
Co-hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman conducted their own experiment and concluded that both Jack and Rose could have shared the raft and survived, provided they propped their upper bodies upright and figured out how to attach Rose's life jacket underneath it to increase the buoyancy.
The story says the door isn't large enough, that Jack gives up his spot for Rose, and that he dies. Any speculation, measurement, or experiment you carry out is irrelevant, at least according to Cameron.
Rose, in denial, claimed she loved Cal, and asked Jack to leave her alone. Later, Rose observed a first-class mother and her child correcting her posture, and went to find Jack to tell him that she changed her mind. Jack and Rose share their first kiss. Rose and Jack make love for the first time.
While certainly farfetched, there is evidence to support this idea (via Glamour). After all, Jack boards the ship using another man's ticket that he won as a poker prize. As far as proof of his existence goes, the elderly version of Rose says herself toward the movie's end, "He [Jack] exists now…
“Yes, he could have held on until the lifeboat arrived. Jack could have survived, but there are so many variables. I think Jack's logic was, 'I'm not going to do anything that would put Rose in danger. ' And that's totally in keeping with the character,” concludes James Cameron.
(at around 1h 25 mins) Although her fingers partially obscure it, the coin that Rose pays to Jack is generally agreed to be a Barber dime, minted 1892-1916, not a modern dime, as some viewers have incorrectly asserted.
