Utahraptor was found the year that Jurassic Park came out and gave scientific credence to the large-sized raptors in the movies. It's just that they are really Utahraptors not Velociraptors!
Deinonychus was the model for the “raptor” dinosaurs of the motion picture Jurassic Park (1993). The name raptor has come to apply to dromaeosaurs in general as a contraction for Velociraptor, a genus of dromaeosaur that was considerably smaller than Deinonychus.
Upon the description of Utahraptor, its dimensions were estimated as much as 7 m (23 ft) in length and somewhat less than 500 kg (1,100 lb), comparable in weight to a polar bear. Various authors agree in that Utahraptor is best estimated around 5–6 m (16–20 ft) long, and weighing up to 250–350 kg (550–770 lb).

Why did Utahraptor go extinct?
James Kirkland hypothesizes that the Utahraptors were attracted to the quicksand trap by the easy prey of the mired iguanodontid. The Utahraptors became mired and and died together over a relatively short period of time.
In the formations where it was found (the Yellow Cat and Poison Strip members of the Cedar Mountain Formation, respectively), Utahraptor lived alongside such dinosaurs that it preys on such as Gastonia, Iguanodon, Hippodraco, Cedrorestes, Iguanacolossus, Martharaptor, and Falcarius.
Sadly, the three died, and Blue was the only survivor. After this, Delta, Echo, and Charlie were cloned and introduced to Blue. Each raptor had the DNA of other animals in their genes with Blue having Black-throated monitor lizard, Charlie having Green Iguana, and Delta having the DNA of birds.
This means that it was Delta that was tazed. In the Jurassic World Special Edition Junior Novelization Delta is the first raptor of the Jurassic World Velociraptor Pack to die instead of Charlie. Furthermore, due to her death in the novelization, Echo is the one that kills Hoskins instead of Delta.
Blue is a female Velociraptor that appears in Jurassic World, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, and Jurassic World: Dominion. She is the oldest of the four raptors in her pack consisting of her sisters, Delta, Echo, and Charlie.
Author Michael Crichton sized up the velociraptors in Jurassic Park! The first person to increase the size of the Jurassic Park velociraptors was actually the author of the book the films were based on, Michael Crichton. He made the decision to model the velociraptors on the larger Deinonychus for unknown reasons.
Delta is a major character in the 2015 sci-fi adventure blockbuster film Jurassic World. She is a Velociraptor who was trained along with the rest of her pack by Owen Grady. She is known for being responsible for the death of Vic Hoskins.

Charlie was one of the Velociraptors that are being trained by Owen Grady that appears in Jurassic World. She met her end when she got blown up by an InGen Security Trooper after turning on the humans during the assault on the Indominus rex. She was the youngest of the four trained raptors.
Beta is a juvenile Velociraptor and the offspring of Blue, who made her debut in Jurassic World: Dominion. Henry Wu explains that Beta was born asexually due to the monitor lizard DNA in Blue's genetic makeup.
At 5.5 metres long, Utahraptor was a very large dromaeosaur. Whereas its smaller relatives such as Velociraptor and Bambiraptor were slender and agile, Utahraptor was a heavy, bulky animal. But it wasn't the only big dromaeosaur.
Some dromaeosaurs have the word 'raptor' in their names, such as Velociraptor, Bambiraptor and Utahraptor. But there are many others that don't, including Deinonychus and Achillobator. That's why it's misleading to call them all raptors. Deinonychus was a close relative of Velociraptor.
