Jafar's crimes include attempted murder, abuse of power and theft. His greatest crime, however, is kidnapping people using the power of magic – a conviction that'll see him spend the rest of his life behind bars. No-one can escape the long arm of the law, not even the King of the Underworld.
Jafar assumes control of the palace (which is lifted off the ground and put on the main top of a mountain by Genie) and banishes Aladdin to a frozen wasteland. Jafar then turns the Sultan into a puppet, allowing Iago to torture the Sultan by force-feeding him crackers as revenge for the crackers the Sultan fed Iago.
What Makes Him Pure Evil? Upon gaining control over Genie, he uses his newfound magical abilities to banish Aladdin and Abu from Agrabah and to distant lands. He also unravels Magic Carpet to prevent them from returning. He usurps the throne of Agrabah, imprisoning the Sultan and enslaving Jasmine.
The Genie grants Jafar magical powers and a new snake staff, which he uses to humiliate Jasmine and her father. When Ali tries to intervene, he is exposed as a fraud by Jafar's magic, and is reverted back into a street rat. Jafar then banishes Aladdin to the ends of the Earth, where he will freeze to death.

Is Jafar a psychopath?

Jafar is a very powerful and psychopathic sorcerer, who wants to rule Agrabah with an iron fist for centuries to come. Jafar is given the fairly accurate nickname of "Señor Psychopath" by the Genie character near the climax of the first film.
Jafar reads aloud from the ancient scroll he so cleverly doctored, and proclaims that now he must become Jasmine's husband, and – most importantly – the next sultan! Jasmine and the Sultan try to stop Jafar, but to no avail, for Jafar now holds the power of the lamp.

In Aladdin (1992), Jafar 'steals' the Sultan's ring, stating he will use it to find Jasmine's suitor. While his intention was to find the 'diamond in the rough', he also found Jasmine's eventual husband.
Jafar serves as Grand Vizier of Agrabah (so he's sort of like a prime minister) and chief advisor to the Sultan. He is also secretly plotting to overthrow the beloved ruler and take his place on the throne. Acquiring the lamp — and Genie — is part of his scheme, but Aladdin stands in his way.
Snake Jafar was a snake form of Jafar from Disney's 1992 feature film Aladdin. Jafar boasts that he is "the most powerful being on Earth", which causes Aladdin to call him a cowardly snake. As a twisted reply to that insult, Jafar turns into a snake.
Like some villain characters from other franchises, Jafar is attracted to a beautiful girl or woman that is a protagonist. He was attracted to Princess Jasmine, but primarily for her good looking body, and not for Jasmine herself as a person.

After refusing to marry him, Jasmine kisses Jafar to distract him while Aladdin returns in time to trick Jafar into wishing himself into a genie and thus trapping himself within the lamp.
